Other than obvious reasons is there a difference between the two? The weather is God-awful outside right now and figured I'd stay inside instead of venturing out.

I was thinking about buying my first AAA title from PSN. I always have bought big titles from Game Stop and BestBuy vs. downloading games and I prefer it that way because you get the nice insert that includes a hard copy of the instructions, story, etc.

Knowing that PS3 buyers who haven't experienced ME1 on PC or 360, will I be missing out on anything if I download ME2 from the PSN Network instead of a hard copy? I am mainly interested in getting as familiar as possible with the whole story and its characters up to this point (start of ME2 PS3 version).

Oh, also, I have a Playstation Plus account so I can play 60 minutes of the game (from the beginning I guess?) I don't know if that will help me decide which way to go.

Thanks for any help, you guys rock!:police:

I don't know about any differences in the game itself, but at least in Europe the hard copy doesn't actually include a proper instruction manual, only a one page quick start that tells you how to turn on your PS3 and insert the game. The actual manual can only be accessed from the extras menu in the game. Kinda dissappointing if you ask me; I've always liked reading through printed manuals of my games, but nowadays the trend seems to be towards in-game manuals...

Dunno if this helps with your decision, but there you have it.

The US disk version is the same (manual on the disk).

As far as I have found its the same just larger install size on HDD. Same game and same DLC extras included. Oh and of course the offset convenience of larger HDD install size (whole game) is you dont need to put Blu Ray disc in when you want to play..

PSN download 12.7 or so GB's, Disc install 5.7 GB's or so.

*******************VERY IMPORTANT********************

Be careful when purchasing the PSN version as you DO NOT get the free DLC promo code when you download the game. This was confirmed by Rachel at Sony customer service. You basically pay the same price for the game, but you don't get the free DLC.

Moreover, I asked for a refund for my PSN purchase and they obviously refused. I am escalating the matter as we speak.

So, John, supervisor at Sony customer service told me he was escalation the matter. I am requesting either a promo code or a refund. He said that the decision is final and without appeal.

Let's make this a fresh thread on the forums.

You forget the comic that was included with the Xbox version, the armor and several other items that are missing in the PSN version. You mean to say nothing of it is included with the disc version either?

Update: I was sure nothing was included because none of the new items appear anywhere (like the comic). It seems like quite a few people are having this issue. Funny thing is the game will ask you to redeem your code every single time you log in on yoour EA account, whether you have the pack installed or not.

You actually have to pay 69.99$ when you buy it in Canada (check Amazon.ca). Definitely buy it on the PSN, even if the Comic isn't working on the PSN version, especially if you reside in Canada.
