Pleas Pleas Help! I have been looking foward to this release for sooooo long and finnaly it's out. Yestorday, on my day off, I ran down at the local Gamestop and brought the game just few minuts after opening.

I then ran home, installed the game, but at 66% it freezed. I shut the machin down, restarted the install and reach 100%. But when I then started the game I didn't get further then the start up loading screen.

Now I have been uninstalling, reinstalling for the last 1 and a half day. I even went back to Gamestop and got a new disk. But still nothing have worked. I'm still no further then the first loading screen.

I'm pretty sure it isn't the PS3, since my younger brother got LBP 2 in Wensdays and we haven't experienced any kind of problems yet. BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT SHOULD BE, IF IT ISN'T THE PS3.

Arrrr! So Frustrated! Pleas Help

Right then Ive spoken to EA Live support, Simon Said (= that if your ps3 on the net reset your router (yeah right) otherwise he said its most likely the files are corrupted and that is possible from a brand new disk on a first installation however he said its not likely a sealed copy is already broken, It may be that it is the ps3. MaxOpower do you ever get the error messages before being able to startup games, I do and wonder if its related. Ive spoken to sony technition about theses error codes on phone and she said to reset ps3 to factory settings and this might fix them but Im not doing that especially now I got over 650 cars on GT5 have all endurance cars and the double credits go down end of Jan. If you reset ps3 and reinstall ME2 let me know if it works if you even get the error messages. They look somthing like this 8005714

Try to replace the game disc and see if it helps. If not then go and return the game and wait for the next holiday season when amazon offers the game for dirt cheap.

80010514 is somthing related though diffrent. But very serious!I havn't have time yet, though I think it might work:

If you can, I suggest you back up your PS3 first. The menu that you will access to can fully erase your PS3 if you choose the wrong option! I do not take any responsibility! Please proceed at your own risk! If you read and follow the instructions exactly you should not loose any data! Feel free to ask questions if you are confused so you don’t make a mistake!! Sorry, I had to say it, I don’t want anyone mad at me if they make a mistake, don’t back up their data and erase it, and then blame me…The current version of the ps3 firmware has a “recovery console”.You access it by1. Start with having the system in standby (redlight is on)2. Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.3. Press and hold the power button again and keep holding, it will beep as it turns on and then it will double beep. When you hear the double beeps immediately take your finger off the power button (if your system turns off before you get a double beep just try again and hold the button, it should double beep the 2nd time you try)4. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS buttonYou will now have a screen with these options (I have attached a picture of this screen below)1. Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION®3 System.
2. Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default.
CHOOSE THIS ONE 3.Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files.
4. Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION®3.
5. Restore PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.
6. System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION®3 SystemIT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT CHOOSE THE WRONG OPTION HERE OR YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA.[/b] The one that fixed my blu-ray drive is option 3: RESTORE FILE SYSTEM[/b]I REPEAT CHOOSE RESTORE FILE SYSTEM[/b]After this, it is going to restart and bring up a screen reading something like “you have Corrupted System Data. Your PS will now replace this data” Then you choose continue and that should be it.

Right heres what happened on my side, last night despite GT5 I did the 7.1 hour Format and nothing has changed I mean absolutely nothing I rang sony again this morning and they are sending me a new ps3 on tuesday just a straight unit for unit change no controller leads or box. After format trying to install ME2, it was corrupting half way through installation ad even started to get error code for it. Most perculiar of all its only the new games with new logo on case that I have the error codes with if this sounds like you PowerO ring sony theyll swap ps3 within days.

Well i got the 80010514 error yesterday. If i am correct it means that your PS3 flash drive has some corrupted data and this can be restored if you follow the steps mentioned above and here:

http://www.ps3blog.c...0514-explained/

It fixed my problem, which probably were corrupted bluray reader-driver. But this is total bs. I wont tinker more with this and wait for a fix. I've had enough.
