I couldn't care less if there wasn't a virmire survivor DLC. Ash and Kaiden were equally boring and had virtually no personality.

So, I don't really care for either Ashley or Kaiden (yes, I find them to be snore-worthy too), but I wouldn't mind a VS themed DLC.  Why? (1) I feel bad for Ash/Kaiden fans, who really have gotten the short end of the stick, and, more importantly (2) it's bound to involve the Alliance, which means Alliance/Cerberus implications, which I am most certainly interested in.

Hmm, no spoiler forum...I don't think the next bridge DLC will necessarily have the VS as the point of the story, but I do think they'll be main characters in the story. You'll be helping them on a mission or something like that. Much like LotSB, the SB is the point. Some might say it was about Liara, but honestly, Shep has as much reason to take out the SB as Liara does.

You could have given me Liara-less LotSB and I still would've taken him down for what he tried to do to me. Liara's presence added extra gravity and depth to the story by adding a character I had an attachment to. I think that would be the perfect thing for the second bridge DLC as well. Give me a story that Shepard should be motivated to do anyway, and add in the VS to increase emotional involvement and depth in the story.

I guess if you didn't care for the VS as a character then their presence won't add much for you, but the same is true of LotSB, Kasumi, and Zaeed (ok, he was free if you bought the game new with the CN).

I'm pretty sure that Bioware, having shown some decent marketing chops in the past, will "synergize" and the VS will be in the final DLC to ensure that all of us VS people out here buy it. Sure, a good story will sell, but a good story with a guaranteed fan base? No good corporation will pass that up.

And that's exactly the sort of thing VS fans want to see.  We don't want some gushy, ridiculous DLC centered on romance and sex.  No, we want something plot-related and epic and we want to be able to fight by the side of the VS again.  And then we just want to have a little chat at the end and begin to repair the damage that's been done to the relationship, similar to the dialogue with Liara.

Two Virmire survivors 741 miles apart are traveling toward each other along the
same track. The first survivor goes 60 miles per hour; the second survivor
rushes along at 90 miles per hour. A flying Volus is hovering just above the
nose of the first Virmire survivor. It buzzes from the first Virmire survivor to the second Virmire survivor, turns around immediately, flies back to the first Virmire survivor, and
turns around again. It goes on flying back and forth between the two survivors until they collide. If the flying Volus' speed is 120 miles per hour, how far will it travel?

I must also say, VS characters were bad...

Carth Onasi with new haircut = bad...

Hot'n'tough marine with too many personality quirks = not executed well, bad bad bad... ( also ugly looking ).

I'd rather have another DLC with Zaeed. Or anything else, pwning batarions or whatever...

Is that an African or European Volus?

No, they should break up with Shep in an e-mail for the most wtf reason as possible, and not appearing in the game.

The sweet tears of the Talimancers could fuel BioWare for eons.

I personally think having a Virmire Survivor DLC merely for the sake of having a Virmire Survivior DLC and/or just because Liara got one is a bit silly. I'd still like it and buy it, but what BioWare should concentrate on as far as DLC's go right now is stuff that helps bridge the gap from ME2 to ME3 and sets us up for the final game.

Now if they can do a Virmire Survivor DLC that also does this, then I'm more than all for it. I thoroughly encourage it. But what it comes down to is priorities.

Shepard regaining connections with the Alliance as a Cerberus mole/reinstituted marine could do the trick.

I personally think the Biotic God should get a DLC, you know so we can continue his story... God knows its a interesting one.

I actually dont care all that much for a VS dlc, i cant see what they will do for a story. But i think Bioware could possibly pull it off. IMO, it will be better suited to me3. Of course a lot wont agree with me and i get why but thats my opinion.

Though, if someone can explain a story worth DLC i would support it 100%

It's the same for LotSB though.

This.

But of course it's irrelevant. Liara is cool and blue and sexy. Kaidan/Ash are unimportant, boring, whiny characters. /sarcasm

Since when was fanservice ever bad to begin with? Yeah, some of it can be very stupid (like shoving Miranda's ass in my face) but it does some good too.

YMMV though

Just a question, but are we sure that story content from bridging DLCs will be carried over regardless of if you actually played it? There's no alternate storyline for if you did or didn't do LOtSB or whatever the next DLC is?

I've been wondering about this, and I did a playthrough where I avoided doing LOtSB just to see what happens instead, but if there's no difference I may as well just play it, because it's a fun mission.

Anyway, as for a VS DLC - I wouldn't mind seeing one, but if I'm completely honest, there are more interesting things they could do storywise. I'm not sure what the VS could really offer in terms of bridging ME2 to ME3. I say the VS situation is best left for later on.

They've already said it's a bridging DLC, so you'll be missing out on stuff anyways if you don't purchase it. Might as well be about the Virmire survivor.

Agreed. I'd hope the storyline of these things isn't warped because of a worry that players who didn't buy the DLC will miss out. If they've been given the option of getting a DLC and they don't go for it, it's a bit silly for them to complain that something doesn't add up.

man the VS supporters really have gone all mental over bing overlooked. I feel sorry for bioware,as they killed a random one, that means whatever they do, they need to fit two characters into one story arc, pay two voice actors to record the same lines, yet try to give each character its own personality.

haha victims of the choices they gave us. Im sure the best way to fix this, would be to have the VS survivor fulfill the role of a bad guy, betrayer style Muahahahahaha the collective rage of the 700 somthing fans would be epic to watch (sorry but it would)

It will be a bridging dlc though, a dlc with Ash/Kaidan will focus around the Alliance, a big part of the first game that we seen nothing of in the second game. It could tie together the whole choose Cerberus or Alliance, or both (if it tuns out they are working together) for ME3. Or anything else Alliance related.
