Way I see it, VS fans should definitely get something, I mean those relationships can't be permanently scrapped. I just wouldn't be that interested in playing a VS/Alliance DLC, seeing how I've never romanced either character and my 2 main characters want nothing to do with the Alliance anymore. But VS people definitely need either an awesome DLC or an awesome reunion in ME3, imo.

I just know I'd be ticked about the state of things by the end of ME2 if I romanced Ash, so they should do something about it eventually.

If they did a DLC starring the virmire survivor, then in me3, they would have some players continuing on from there, but then for the players who didnt buy the dlc, it wouldnt fit in or make sense.

they are obviously keeping the resolutions for me3 so everyone gets to play it and it all fits in properly.

i would rather have ash/kaiden all through me3 that everyone gets to play, then have it wrapped up in a dlc that some people get and some people dont. as that would stuff up the continuities with me3

I want them to be in ME3 also, but havent heard anything..... If they arent gonnna be, then I would def appreciate a DLC so I can have a conclusion to my romance with Kaidan... i did stay faithful after all....

I say if Liara fans get a DLC so do Ash/Kaidan fans. it's only fair

As long as they can contribute to the plot and it's not another "Shepard the interstellar janitor" mission, I won't mind if they have a DLC dedicated to them.

No, they should break up with Shep in an e-mail for the most wtf reason as possible, and not appearing in the game.

The sweet tears of the Talimancers could fuel BioWare for eons.

Oh yes that's even better.

:crying:

and btw, his name is KAIDAN not KAIDEN!! DAMN!!!! ok, I'll walk away because this can get ugly....

Who now? ;P

Ontopic: The last DLC won't hit till the summer I reckon. Else the gap would be way too big. I wouldn't really speculate too much about it, else it'll be hyped to sh*t followed by massive dissapointment for many who didn't expect that to be the bridge DLC. It'll probably be a small DLC where you get into contact with the Alliance again or so, leaving options open for ME3 where you can go Cerberus/Renegade or Alliance/Paragon. Just my 2 cents.

I'm almost completely convinced that the next DLC will have the VS in it as a sub-plot. Much as LotSB had Liara as a sub-plot, it set the stage for Shepard to have the resources of the Shadow Broker for ME3. The next DLC will wrap up the mystery of Cerberus and the Alliance...only makes sense that they will include the resolution of the Ashley/Kaidan character within it's writings.

I think the Evolution comic is pretty good proof of that. I think it has been planned all along.

Well, last time I looked at the group, it has 760 members now.

@ Raanz-- your positivity is inspiring, and I certainly hope that you are right.

The other thing is, would fans really be happy with a DLC where the two characters basically substituted for each other, ala Horizon in vanilla ME2? I mean, if the DLC isn't really that much about them and is basically just the two characters there with you saying pretty much the same things in the same story with a few tweaks to their dialogue is that really going to suffice? Or will fans see it as just another case of Horizon 2?

I personally think that unless both characters actually have rather diverse content they won't really be done justice. I suppose it depends on the execution: if the plot mostly follows reconnecting with the Alliance then with enough unique dialogue and stuff that reflects their personalities it may work. But I can't help but feel that unless we get something along the lines of "path for Kaidan and different path or Ashley" that results in truly unique content for both, it's just going to end in fans shaking their heads and face-palming.

Dear OP: I want you to imagine, for a moment, that it wasn't Kaishley on Horizon, but your favorite ME1 squadmate instead. Despite whatever relationship you forged with them in the last game, they use their two minutes of screentime to b*tch you out and walk away in a huff, only to send a stupid email a few missions later. Meanwhile, your LEAST favorite squadmate gets his/her own spotlight in a seriously awesome piece of DLC in which Bioware basically forces "YOU MUST LIKE THIS CHARACTER" down your throat.

That's what I did. I imagined standing there absolutely baffled as Wrex and Garrus called me a traitor and walked away, and then spending $10 on a two-hour showcase of how super-duper awesome and special Kaidan Alenko is. Ragequit doesn't even begin to describe it.

The only issue with VS DLC is fitting both halves of Kaishley Willenko into the package so that, you know, they can be separate characters again.

I don't think there'd be anything wrong with a Kaidan/Ashley DLC. But of course, it would have to be carefully done. Very carefully. Lair of the Shadow Broker was done very artfully, and I really really liked it, especially with all the highly cinematic cutscenes and dialogues.

It's not entirely fair to compare Ashley and Kaidan to Liara though, because of quite a few reasons, the main being that Liara always survived. Kaidan and Ashley have wildly differing stories, and if a DLC was released with them, a person would need to have two different saves to get the entire DLC. In addition, Liara's hunt for the Shadow Broker already existed pre-DLC. What exists for Ashley and Kaidan pre-DLC? All we know is that they ****ed Shepard out and would "always be an Alliance soldier". That doesn't seem like something you could call up short of a full-on Reaper invasion...which will be ME3, not some bridging DLC.

Unless of course the DLC is to kill the other one off as well. Which is ridiculous. So...probably no Ash/Kaidan DLC.
