If you refuse Leliana's help both times in Lothering she says: "I will venture forth on my own then".

So will she show up later in the game anywhere?

I've searched the Wiki and can't find anything about what happens to her at that point.

Thanks!

I think she perishes in Lothering with everyone else once it's overrun with darkspawn. You will not see her again.

You won't meet her again.

So much for the "I will venture out on my own" thing she says

Damn, I was hoping I'd meet up with her later in some chantry somewhere and be all like  I felt bad telling her to beat it, she sounds so dissapointed it hurts :crying:

I think she's the only companion in origins that you can turn down once and still get a second chance for recruitment. Everyone else is take it or leave it. Just FYI, Leliana is one of the two female romantic interest in origins in case you change your mind and want to backtrack. (You can always get her the next game.)

A dev confirmed (I tthink its in the DA2 section) that if either Leliana and/or Sten are left in Lothering they die. So if you don't recruit them in Lothering, they're gone from both DAO and DA2.

I don't believe any dev would say Leilana is dead for good if she wasn't recruited in Lothering. This is the same Bioware that said they will ignore a character's death (especially ones that happen in the epilogue slides or ones you don't see on scene) if they want to bring the character back.

Leliana probably just leaves with the Chantry. Not everyone died at Lothering as Dragon Age 2 shows you.

If she were to stay in Lothering do you think the Darkspawn would capture her and turn her into a Brood mother?
