This. And probably have a philosophical discussion and what else can be done to put humanity on top.

Nice and simply. No histrionics or wankish attempts at poetic irony and flaunting presumed superiority.

I approve.

If your going to insult people you could atleast be clear as to whom.

Or I could let people figure out for themselves if they're falling into a category that deserves contempt.

In this case, people who are indulging in murder-fetish fantasies about how to make TIM's end as painful, brutal, humiliating, or poetically appropriate as possible.

If you do not fit into this category, you have no reason to feel demeaned. If you do fit into this category, you are demeaned..

But to make a post is ultimately to make a point in my opinion is it not best to make it a clear point?

Since my post was in praise of a particular individual who had just posted, the point was clear: I felt that person's depiction of actions lacked certain traits and therefore was worthy of approval.

Point made.

And yet you still made it read as an insult to others as opposed to that particular post- which is needlessly vague.

Then your reading skills aren't up to par. I was referring to a singular person, whom I immediately followed in the order of posts, and singled that person out for praise.

If you read it as an insult to others... well, that's your own fault. Maybe you feel not being praised is an insult. Maybe you feel that if someone who is different from you is getting praised, then that's an implicit insult to you. I don't know, but it really isn't my problem. If you wish to feel insulted, who am I to stop you?

You see insulting my reading skills is not exactly the best way to convince me you're not being impolite, secondly you made a a similar post directly below a post of mine so yes I determine that there was an implied insult, finaly your 'compliment' was saying that it lacked bad traits not that it possessed good ones so it does seem like a poor way of icomplimenting someone unless you also whished to insult someone or a group as whole.

Also going back to your original post were you mentioned "presumed superiority" I shall assume you ment moral superiority- the problem is as a paragon, paragade or questionably renegade you almost certainly do  (I.E no tortuous expirents no kidnapping children, no thresher maw attacks, no assassinating Alliance officials that get in the way.)

Good and evil are subjective concepts, Archontor.

Anyway, what would I do if I met TIM face to face?

I don't know, but I wouldn't be hostile. I might shake his hand even. TIM and I are on the same page.

well I'm aware they're subjective but It's still easier to justify say (spoilers) letting the autistic guy (his name escapes me) go to grissom academy then letting cerberus continue the experiment. (spoilers end)

I'm sure that you don't think that you're evil but there are most certainly people on this planet who do.

Like I said, it's subjective. The point isn't that you shouldn't condemn these actions, but that you shouldn't put subjective labels on them. "Evil" is a word that carries no real weight or meaning because it can be and often is applied to almost anything.

I disagree completely but to each his own.

Well you see my point- some paragon options are more easy to justify than their apropriate renegade choices.

After reading the notes that the SB had on TIM, I'd think all you players who like playing a horn-dog Shepard would consider stealing his little black book.

I understand your point. It is not a difficult notion to grasp. However I do not think you did a good job justifying it.

I could go back and forth with you on Overlord forever and probably on any other Paragon/Renegade decision you'd care to bring up.

We're dragging the thread off-topic though.

Fair enough I just wanted to provide an example as opposed to debating the morality system of Mass Effect 2

Since my praise post did include note of good (the first three words being 'nice and simple'), your reading skills are less a matter of insult and more a matter of fact.

As someone who does not deem torturing and dehumanizing someone before killing them in a self-satisfying manner as ever justified, no. I don't find you in a morally supperior position if you do that.  For similar reasons and reasonings that I would not find youmorally superior in raping a serial killer in the process of arresting him or her. What you are doing has nothing to do with justice or accountability, and everything about personal gratificaction.
