Why they should NOT reveal Tali or ANY Quarian...EVER

If you actually look at the helmet they seem pretty "featureless" no hair, glowy eyes, etc.
IF they reveal a Quarian that is NOT Tali...see above.
If they reveal Tali and she's really attractive it's obvious they just gave in and made her such because of the Tali Stalkers.
hence..why we should NEVER see any Quarian.
and yes..I'm a Tali fan..her romance is my favorite one out of ME2 until LotSB came out..I liked the reuniting with Liara (and she was/is my favorite from ME1) and what went down...if you catch the paragon interrupts anyway...But yah I love Tali, she's great..but we should still NEVER see her or any other Quarian.

Just my 2 cents.

But we've had this conversation a thousand times on this forums. I could go either way on the issue. All I care about most is having her as a squadmate in ME3. Reveal or no.

Everyone else in the galaxy knows what they look like.
Shepard knows what they look like.
So we should too.

It's incredibly dumb that you can't see what a Quarian looks like under their suite. You would think there would be pictures of them on theinterextranet(don't remember what's it's called in the Mass Effect universe)of how they looked before they had to wear suits.
Fixxed!

Say Bob really really wants to know what Tali looks like. But Joe doesn't, he prefers the mystery and his own imagination.
All BioWare has to do is think of a way to make such a reveal optional, such as through an optional conversation. That way Bob can see Tali's face, and Joe can keep the mystery.
Everyone wins.
It might be a bit of a challenge for BioWare, but if they came up with the ME universe in the first place, coming up with this scenario oughta be a cakewalk in comparison.

Huzzah. I'm not alone. What IS the major appeal to her? Is there a simple answer? I mean, I don't want anyone writing a paper about it. Just some kind of brief explanation as to why she seems to be such a fan favorite?

Same here or at least until her loyality mission in ME2 which is one of my favourite missions out of the whole series.

I find her annoying. She was my least favorite character in ME1 and I was pissed off I got Tali back instead of Ash (my favorite character)
I wouldn't recruit Tali but I need that AR upgrade

Some might just find her Deadpan Snarker personality endearing. Others might just find her nervous mannerisms cute.
I'm a bit of the former, and I can also relate to the "giving up so many simple things everyone else takes for granted" aspect due to a medical condition I have. I don't experience it anyone near the same scale as a quarian, but enough that I can relate.
And it makes me cringe to say it, makes me almost gag because normally I hate this kinda message, but the idea that such problems can be looked past for the sake of The Most Important Things gives disabled ole' me hope.

Eh, I don't think Joe would ever not look. I don't think that Tali's face should be revealed but I sure as heck am going to take a gander at it if the opportunity is available.
Although...taking this a step further, why not also make Tali's appearance an in game choice?* Like, somehow the following dialogue option comes up: Shep: "I tend to be more attracted to human-looking faces." vs. "I guess I'm a bit xenophilic, I don't mind alien-looking faces." (I dunno, maybe he's chatting with someone about his luv interest...)
And then when Tali cracks her helmet, her appearance depends on your earlier statement...
(*I'm only kind of kidding about this. While it's a completely ridiculous idea, it would help quell the enormous amounts of nerd rage that are going to erupt, no matter what Bioware does.)

Until Bob posts a bajillion screenshots on the interwebs and Joe inevitably runs into them without ever intending to.

If Joe really doesn't want to see what Tali looks like, but looks anyway just because he can, then Joe's got nobody to blame but himself. Sorry that it sounds so dickish, but it's the best way I can put it.
As for the "I'm more attracted to..." comment idea, I don't think that quite works with the idea of the Tali romance. In it, Shepard falls for her with no knowledge of her appearance aside from the known fact that quarians look a lot like humans with really different ears, and whatever hints of her face he can see through her visor (nose, cheeks, etc.) His attraction to her is entirely based on personality and their experiences together.
With all that, I don't think he'd care what she'd look like, and since he smiled in the romance scene when she took off the visor, whatever she looks like pleased him. It's really sappy, and some cynics might say unrealistic, but that's how it is.
There's also the fact that the "human-looking" and "alien-looking" comments would lead to two different "canon" versions of what a quarian resembles, one contradicting the already established fact that they resemble humans...with really different ears.
Though in a wonderful twist of dark comedy, she might just resemble someone whose body has been ravaged by AIDS...
