I’m only aware of a few works in which there are gay elves and none in which there are girly (male), gay elves.
I was referring to the player perception of elves rather than any actual work of fiction. If you've never heard a gamer refer to elves as: pansies, limp-wristed, gay, girly, etc etc.. I'd be rather surpised.
This has an unfortunate ring of truth in it. Zevran -> elf -> looks more effeminite than Alistair (build, long hair, etc) -> cliche = obvious M/M choice.
Same goes the other way around. Morrigan -> tough broad -> self assured -> brash = obvious F/F choice
Too bad, really, I was hoping they wouldn't be going for the obvious. I feel a little... disappointed/let down, somehow. But definitely not enough to put me off the game, heh. AlthoughI am stricly hetero, meaning that M/M or F/F do nothing for me in..... ah, that area, I wish those who want to pursue the M/M or F/F had the same choices as the F/M.

It just seems like a cop-out, in order avoid putting off the younger
audience by having their big manly manly characters hit on them.
Quietly disturbing, but that could very well be true. Bummer.
Oh well, still rooting for Bioware and their romances. At least we're getting them, and no matter which way I slice it, it will most likely be so much better than the flub romances in NWN2 (I know that was Obsidian, I'm just saying, you know....)
