This has probably been asked before but,

If I'm a pure renegade (always choosing the bottom right option), can I still complete assignments that count torwards the ally acheivments? I just came across this twice on the Citidal (Family Matter and Asari Consort). I picked the renegade option and now the assignments are grayed out, but I didn't really do anything except tell them I wasn't going to help them. Do they still count torwards the ally acheivments?

Also, is it still possible to get a romance by being a pure renegade? It's not that big of a deal, I kinda don't want one anyway (wouldn't be very renegade if he was in love, lol), but I was just wondering.

Don’t always pick the bottom right option or you will miss out on allot of content. Upper right = yes, bottom right = no is just the standard placement for these options generally (I can only think of one where its different). Rejecting these side missions doesn’t make you anymore renegade; in fact it will just make you lose out on more opportunities to earn renegade points. para/ren points are not linked to all dialogue.
Also yes you can be pure renegade and still pursue a romance but not if you simply pick the bottom line each time. Characters won’t date you if you have been an ass to them the whole time and as with the side missions, the lines that accept romances are at the top and the lines that reject them are at the bottom.
Here is a guide to the available points in the game if you want to use it. It tells you what lines trigger para or ren points.
