The games was going great till I got the dwarves to join me. Now all my party mebers will not show on camp and will not join the party. I also did not get the dwarf guy from there. This I think, is in all new characters too. 
I installed the toolset but never opened it.
Is my only option a to reinstal the game?

I have a similiar broblem, they all show at the party camp, but when I venture off from the camp site, select my party, they do not come. I am currently alone, where ever I go...

I had hard time to find anything like this until I found this post what is near as I could find. Is this some rare bug or what? im currently 80 hours in the game and this is NOT funny....   I do have save when I still had all members, I will take backup of my current progress and load that one, see if I can get them to stay this time.

Anyone has idea what is going on?


EDIT: Ok, seems I have the same broblem as the OP as this extends to other chracters as well. In more detail: other chracter I tryed, I can select who I wish to take with me, and they do indeed load next to me, but they do not join my party, and do not follow me.

I have the same exact issue. After I agreed for Oghren to join me, he never showed up in my party options. I kept playing through a few areas of the deep roads and then went to my camp to enchant my weapons. When I got to the game all my other party members were MIA and the 3 I had with me would just wander around. I could switch characters in camp to get them to appear, but no matter who I select to leave with, no one goes with me. And when I talked to the bard elf, it begins her initial conversation all over again and warps me to an broken area that I can't leave from.



Very frustrating and foolish me, all my save games were of the quick save and auto save variety so I have to go back to before Frost Path to find one that isn't broken. Is there somewhere I can send my save file to help out Bioware in seeing what is wrong with our games?

Same thing happened to me - on a reroll I am in lothering and have jsut added Leilani, now when I go to add party members, her allistair, dog and morigan appear in the add screen,but when I add them, they will not appear in game.

This is a toolset related bug. I copied my save game over to my laptop where I don't have the toolset installed and loaded it up. No issues with the party there. Although I don't have Oghren.as I think the bug made it so I told him he couldn't join.

my bug was with a mod allowing several abilities to be sustained outside combat. remove mod, problem solved.

ah! I have such one too! Blood Magic mod, it could be toolset related but not only, because I do not have the toolset installed. I dont know if authors of these mod(s?) are aware of this? I will try remove my mod and see if it works for me, edit incoming.

EDIT: yes, (atleast) this blood magic mod will cause this eventually (when someone new joins your jorney?) as I had jused this mod some time, until I left the mage tower (without spoiling more) as character there was my first recruit since I started to use this mod. It would as well explain why this applys to new games you start.

Would explain why it didn't happen till I tried to add Oghren to my party.

The toolset will SCREW your game. Don't install it unless you are a SERIOUS developer or modder as once you do, you have to go through hoops to fix your game. Any day now they will come out with a new tool that wont break your game. I would wait for the new tool IMO

My problem was toolset related. But after a quick delete of bad folders it was fine. The saves were still corrupt but the game is stable.

The toolset install should not do anything harmful. But by default you open up the main campaign which is the thing that breaks games. So if you want to mod (like I do) just look at a few tutorials and you should be fine.

I have never had a issue after this post and don't have to go through any hoops to do basic modding.

My save games lucky were not corrupted or anything, could continue way after I had first "lost" my party.Agreed that this game indeed has many bugs, I guess I should consider myself lucky that I have not encountered more then this, and even this trough mod...
