I got ME(1) for Christmas last year on PC, and since installation I've had issues.

First of all, it wouldn't even let my play the game until I deleted a 'paul.dll' file after searching online, but that wasn't a hard fix.

Then I tried downloading the free Bring Down the Sky, which seemed to work ok but then never showed up, and redownloading resulted in "this isn't your language" when it obviously was. I gave up on that and then played the game for the last few months.

Now I made the mistake of buying the Pinaccle Station DLC, and trying to download THAT via EA Download Manager. It downloads fine, but when I attempt to install it via EADM it tries updating to v1.02, gets about halfway through that, closes itself, tries to verify something then installation fail.

After that I tried and succedded in downloading 1.02 by itself without a hitch, then tried again... it still attempts to update Mass Effect to 1.02 before failing.

I then attempted Bring Down the Sky again and actually got to the install screen again, which sadly failed on verifying once more, using the BDTS code I went lengths to, to get from Bioware's community site where it directed me.

So now I have an almost complete ME1 playthrough, BDTS that doesn't work install, and a paid-for Pinnacle Station that won't install either....

Help?

Secondly, how did you receive ME1. Disk, Steam download, EA download, or other download service?
