How about the two screenshots at the bottom of the page on merediths wiki?  Those look massive enough for you guys?

Personally I am a bit split on the new art style but it is certainly growing on me.  I like the Seeker armor that Cassandra wears.

I noticed that image, but was afraid that since DA2 is heading towards non-customizable teammates in order to make them unique that NPC's like Meredith may follow suit (you know, to make them stand out more). But yes, if  both male and female Hawke can wear it I will be happy.

I don't like the left boot of the knight that is next to Meredith, it looks like a combination of plate steel and leather. I want boots made out of full plate steel. You can see the front part of his left boot is made out of leather, also the top part of his left boot looks like it is made out of leather too. Hopefully there will be more better looking heavy, and massive than this.

Carver's armor would be entirely non-functional. Plate has no point if it's right against your skin and there's nothing between you and it to absorb the blow. Meredith's armor would be more functional, but I find it hideous. *Sigh* I want the Cailan armor model back, and not in it's DA2 incarnation.

We've seen one. I also assume they'll reuse assets from DAO. By assume I mean I know. You can see higher res models of the old generic longswords, splintmail Yusaries, Starfang (I assume this also means the generic greatswords are back) in various screenshots. The price of a short dev time is reused assets. Not as bad as FNV, you know hopefully.

Though I'm hoping there will be some massive armor in Dragon Age 2 that will look similar to the massive armors in Dragon Age: Origins, and Awakening.

Massive armor looks awesome and makes you feel heroic, I hope they have some big armor in the game.

Tow years dev time mate. Which is the usual for Bioware games.

Ya know.. I remember the first time my Sword and Shield warrior warden put on a heavy plate armour. It was a normal heavy plate ferelden officer's suit. Until then I had wondered why my warrior was taking so much damage but the moment I put that suit of armour on him.. the change was radical. My warrior soon turned into the awesome killing machine I had set him up to be. ^_^

Edit: Oh bother.. I started typing an hour ago?!

Fallout New Vegas. Obsidians use of recycled textures for that game was astounding to say the least.

Actually some 15th century knights wore side-wing protections on their knee guards, not all. Fairy wings?! lol

Hopefully there will be big shoulder guards in Dragon Age 2. The small ones look pretty pathetic, plus you don't even look intimidating wearing those.

Well actor William Moseley who played as King Peter from the first two Narnia movies wore plate steel shoes and full plate steel greaves, and looked liked his movements looked heavy, but he was still flexible and still can run effectively. Look at his fights against the White Witch and King Miraz in youtube, you can see that his armor is functional battle armor. King Miraz armor is also functional battle armor.

Btw, does anyone know what has happen to Mike Laidlaw? He's been gone for almost two weeks now.

Hawke is shown wearing full massive armor (pauldrons and all) in this video -

that's not just any armour in the IGN video, that's Cailan's suit or something similar. The pauldrons seem to have been evened up though and I see a few other differences but it's very similar to Cailan's

So what about the massive plate steel boots? Do they actually look like plate steel, or are there some leather parts on it?

My lord MysticStrider, you seem awfully fixated on boots.

Because it looks ugly if massive plate steel boots have some leather parts on it. That would be a sorry excuse for plate steel armor.
