During the game the dialogs' audio is very low, it sims that always speak back to me.
When someone talk to me through radio (during some mission) i don't heart you. I can see only the subtitles..
The voice of the primary codex it's totally absent.

To heard something i have setting the audio parameters to 30% for music and audio effect and 100% for dialog, but it's not a good gaming.

Please help me.

PS: i try to reinstall all: game and cerberus pack but nothing change. The first time that i have install the game was all ok, but my ps3 broke and now, with new one...

Not meaning to offend but as you said it was fine when you originally installed it but then your PS3 broke and the issues have come up with the new one, that sounds more likely some kind of fault with the PS3. The 'new' one, is it a 'refurbished' one that Sony sent out to replace your original PS3?

"Hello,

I purchased Mass Effect 2 yesterday and I'm having a major problem with the in game dialog sound. Basically the game runs perfectly fine with full max settings, the sound effects and music are perfect for the most part, but I was VERY disapointed to find the opening moments of the game ruined by the fact when a character speaks I can bearly hear them talk (somtimes not at all) and when I can hear them.. well.. it sounds like they are talking inside of a tin can.

I played through the first mission of the game to see if it's just a problem with the location but the dialog problem continues to persist into mission 2. This issue completly ruins the experiance for me.. I'd rather not harken back to the 8 bit days of Final Fantasy and read thousands of lines of dialog to get the story.

Does anyone else have this problem?"

I found this on the PC forum. I am having the exact same problem on the PS3 version. All other games/Blu rays run and sound fine.

I was having some strange audio bugs myself. Nothing that goes on through cutscenes, but if I am walking around, lets say a town, I might be facing forward, away from my squad, and i'll hear one of them mutter something and once I turn to them, they start speaking loud and clear.

Very, very odd. It was annoying, and it did irritate me on my first playthrough, however, I have subtitles on, so if I hear some muttering, my eyes glance up to the top of my television faster then a krogan charging an enemy during one of their "episodes".

Have you tried changing the codex settings on your PS3? So removing Dolby Digital and using linear PCM at 48k for example. It sounds like the audio driver and your tv/receiver are not playing nicely. As if you are hearing any audio at all we're suplying it to the system. Not sure what would have changed. Are you using 5.1 and the centre channel isn't connected as much of the voice work comes from the centre channel?

Dialogue volume is a little low for me, but it's fine if I drop the music and effects down to about 50% and then turn up the overal volume of the home cinema. Not really a bug, it just seems that the dialogue was recorded a little too quietly. It's especially noticeable when in places like the nightclub on Omega with the music thumping away in the background.
