Just so you know, you don't need to put 'supposed' in quote marks. The word supposed already suggests cynicism at the claim.

But yeah, I'd like to see some more gameplay.

So people can complain that it's not polished, just wait for the reviews then buy it or not. In the mean time just play another game will make the time pass faster.

the better question is how to pronounce supposed. Is it "suppose-ed" or just "supposed" ?

Little more then a month. Publishers usually release the majority of the information and footage of a game in the final month during their advertising and hyping blitz. If we have what we have now in the final week before launch then one can start scratching their head and looking around.

Well usually games go gold one month before release....so the game should be already complete and polished....still they don't show anything but selected screens and "flashes" of gameplay...

In this context I believe "suppose-ed" provides the proper amount of sarcasm.

It's not as if OP doesn't have a point. Remember how much of ME2 we saw in the months leading up to release? Sure, some people said it was too much and they spoiled a lot of the story. But we saw extensive gameplay and character information months ahead of time. With DAII we've gotten one video of gameplay that didn't contain much information, one vid of the story that didn't contain much information, and one vid a DLC companion. It's a bit worrisome. If they're still not ready to show off the game then the game must still need serious work. Every screenshot they release has to be defended by the "fanboys" because none of them look very sharp. Every leaked video is the same story. It's always "Well, that pic must be old. They still have loads of time to polish the game." Why would they be releasing old pics? And how do they still have loads of time?

I'd pronounce it suppooooooos-edly.

As in, "So, Mr. Hawke, you suppooooooos-edly were so drunk you didn't realize it was your sister and not a tavern wench. I see."

I might even have an English accent while saying it.

Yep. I hope Bio's learned their lesson about spoilers

As for the rest, why release more videos before the game goes gold? What's the advantage?

This worries me too, and while I know my reply will get me attacked by many I'll say it nonetheless, TW2 is a game that will be released in May as in two months after DA2 already has a video walkthrough of a complete mission in the game, ME2 had tons of videos in the months leading up to release, we had the classes videos with Christina Norman, we knew about all the companions save for Legion and Garrus (those didn't frequent the forums only).... either DA2 is on track and the game is as polished as it must be and they should start doing some serious marketing or it is not and there should be a delay... at this point I wouldn't mind really.

Have some *uckin faith. I mean it is BioWare we are talking about. Do you really think that they would release anything that wasn't halfway decent?

Well, I would say there's a distinct marketing advantage. Most games do it. It is kinda unusual for them to wait this long, but I'm not worried myself. Like you say, it's better than getting spoilers.

I expect to see them to show a lot of footage on the game in the coming month.

Well, Awakening and Witch Hunt were ridiculously glitchy and rushed. So it's not as if they're incapable of producing inferior products.

Truthfully, I never watched the ME2 trailer. I bought ME2 based on a youtube video and then went back and picked up ME without knowing anything about it so I could play it before I played 2. I love DAO, so I have seen enough of DA2 to buy it in advance of seeing everything. I'm even starting to enjoy DAA. Bioware is a great game company and I'm sure that it will be a very ME/ME2 kind of game in a DA world.

My only hope is that the devs kept the romance part like DAO. I hated ME2's lack of romance in their "jump into bed" world. Every bit of "romance" in ME2 was jump into bed the world's going to end kind of thing. I hated that. In DAO, the romance actually seemed to take time (if you didn't give your romance choice a feastday gift anyway). I hope Bioware did it right in DA2, but I have a bad feeling that I'll go back to spending hours playing DAO because they didn't especially from what they showed with Isabella/manHawke. No, that isn't the only thing I play rpgs for but it is an important part of the game for me. I'm a hopeless romantic.

Yet I played and enjoyed Awakening when it came out, without encountering any bugs. Witch Hunt was certainly glitchy though.

Well, since you played Awakening and never got any bugs that means the game was perfect, right?

Because other games have the depth of character belonging to plasmodium vivax, and demoing showing off the content of those games is about as subtle as taking a brick to someone's face.

That said, there's so much that they could show, but it'd likely spoil some of the wonderful surprises they have planned to keep us entertained. Bioware has a evil scheme in that they'll tease us enough to keep checking in anyway. ;p

Right because DAO and ME1/ME2 were the shallowest games ever.

since when is the amount of footage released before the game is released an indicator of how good or bad a game is?

It is not, it is an indicator of whether the game is ready for release or not, that said I've no problem with the lack of videos, I just want a consistent experience when it comes to material we're shown, grahpics look pretty good in one screenshot and they look mundane in another one, how can we judge anything based on that?

BioWare Apologists are just as funny as the Doomsayers.

I love the moral high ground battles though, keep up the good work.
