The videos were uploaded to youtube March 27th and 28th 2009. That's almost two years ago--ME2 was still in development then. ME3 was just an idea.xAlch3mIstx wrote...

I know you said to me that the voices should be made first for the sake of animation but I'm pretty positive I saw a video on ME2 with a voice actor dubbing in front of of a ME2 dialogue screen.

Actually, if you are refering to squaddies, they would need voice acting anyway. They can't just vanish.Ulzeraj wrote...
Any news regarding the voicing acting? That would surely indicate what characters will appear on ME3 and in what stage the game is.

Yeah but knowing said actor is already working with a Bioware project could probably tell us in what part of development the game is I guess.

I'm thinking Stage 5 is the alpha testing?
AFAIK the alpha testing stage is usually restricted to a test team at the developers' site and a small control group. As the open public (AKA, us poor mortal souls) few volunteers may only have a grasp at it for some final testing and feedback.
I just worry about how much the community coverage on the development can spoil details of the game to people like me who expect to touch the game only on its most perfect form and final glory. I think its a good idea to avoid the forums during beta stages.

It depends on Bioware's definition of alpha testing. For some, the hardening can be considered as the alpha.Pacifien wrote...

These kind of stuff mostly happens in closed beta stages for MMOs, not single-player games, afaik.Ulzeraj wrote...

I think that it's probably Shepard's limp.
You mean he will no longer be pimp limping around?
Great thread anyway. To the people who are concerned that the story will be rushed: I imagine development on the ME3 story began in conjunction with ME2. I'm sure the story of the game was established long ago.

I wonder if they are nearly done with hardening, as well. Don't they need to start releasing teaser videos, and class redesign videos, and a, "Oh, check out how awesome ME3 is" videos?
I mean, T-minus 11 months people.

But I am excited by the rumour that ME3 is actually ready to play. And yeah, knowing the participation of VA's and writers would help us know about the squaddies. But I shouldn't, I don't want it to spoilt

Also true. Staff in distinctly different departments may have a variety of opinion on "complete alpha" and "still working on it".It depends on Bioware's definition of alpha testing. For some, the hardening can be considered as the alpha.
We're getting there, but give it time.Don't they need to start releasing teaser videos, and class redesign videos, and a, "Oh, check out how awesome ME3 is" videos?

ME3's development started before ME2's release. And they still have to release the game in Holidays 2011.Pwner1323 wrote...
I think that it's still at the beginning stage, unless BW has the ability to make a good game in less then a year.
