Hello!
I just got my neverwinter platinum edition from steam, looks awesome

I just reached to Rite of Tyr with my character, i had Shandra with me so 5 companions.
Whenever i leave the cathedral, or just do the rite of tyr, Khelgar disappeares !!!

Not to mention he was carrying most of my stuff, he's a valuable asset to my group.

I did a quick search and most people seem to relate this with their familiars. I had no familiar summoned before going for the Rite of Tyr. Maybe Shandra caused the bug ?

I really don't want to restart the game, i was so enjoying my wizard and i really don't think if i can take another character starting from West Harbour .

Is there no way to get him back ?

I've heard of this but not looked into it. Here's a pointer or two (Google) :

the fix involves copying a .ROS file from a previous savegame to your current one, i thinkie

Hi Kevl and thanks for the help you provided me.



Khelgar was carrying most of my stuff so i could not load it from another account, i was lucky that i have been saving frequently in different slots.



Just returned somewhere close, and problem fixed

It seems that there are unusual issues with the versions downloaded from Steam, I suspect that it could be their update system because the reports in the forums are indicative of of early bugs at times.



The missing companion bug was one that plagued players early on and was triggered due to having animal companions and/or familiars summoned and going through certain transitions. Temporary resolutions were to copy the ROS file for the missing character from an earlier save to your current save. This issue was fixed with the release of patch 1.12.

Could be, the version i downloaded from steam is 1.023 (1765).

I found a fix for the bug.

As long as you don't summon your familiars it doesn't happen. I'm totally sure i can do this without my pigs +3 diplomacy.

Just finished the official campaign, it was awesome!
