I'm just reaching the end of Act II for the first time, and I'm having trouble finding out how many companions I'll be able to have for Act III without completely spoiling myself. I know that it varies depending on what part of the story you're in, but how many companions are available most of the time? Is it three like in Act I, or four like in Act II, or some other number altogether?
How many companions in Act III?

You mean in your party? There's no increase, only 3 or 4. Except for a certain part, where you have all of them.
I believe you can mod the game to allow a bigger party, if you want. You'll have to ask someone else how to do it, though.

Act three?
Is that when Sandra joins?
I think it's 3 chosen + shandra as a forced companion (she's a fighter, which can be useful if you are spellcaster and have khelgar)
edit: why do i forget to read the last post date?
Hard to not forget given so few threads.
