@Benny: What you said is this was a noob thread and started yelling at other people. What I think is you should go do something useful instead of wasting your time arguing with people who think your ridiculous! Ok, then, we'll call it a debate! I'm simply stating my point, and they're stating theirs. The difference is you come in here like you know everything and everyone else is wrong, well let me tell you something.. Your the only one on your side, I didn't come here to whine, I came here to give my two sense. If you don't like it, get a life instead of screwing with mine.

You fail on all counts. Here's my original post:

1. Ramming targets works much better and is faster than the missiles, so stop being a p*ssy and fight up close. That should make it less boring.

2. See number 1.

3. All you did in the Mako was schlog around collecting minerals.

4. Nope you can't get out. It sucks.

5. Have you played Overlord yet?

6. Thanks for showing up to the party a year late and starting a new thread about an ancient topic. There's a search bar at the top of the page. Use it and post accordingly.

That's not yelling at anybody or calling this a "Noob Thread". That's not me thinking I know everything. That's me calling you out for being a  gimp who is complaining about something that's more your fault than the games. that's me agreeing with you that not being able to get out of the HH sucks ass, That's me telling you that there are MANY other threads out there about this very same thing and that you should've tried to find one.

I've never said that anybody and everybody else is wrong. I never said you or anybody can't give their 2 cents. I'm not even on a side. truth be told, I want both vehicles in ME3 (both need to be reworked) .And if you didn't come here to whine then maybe you shouldn't have tried to pass off your boring playing style in terms of combat, to a fault of the game.

So why don't you get a life and learn how to read.

Guess I'm fed up with the fanboy/girl crap, the slagging of the devs, the whining bout the VS, half assed moderating of these endlessly same topics, the console wars,  fan entitlement etc. etc. I know I don't have to explain it to you. These forums would be a lot nicer if people just took that extra bit of time. Instead of 20 threads about something, we'd have 12. People wouldn't be so b!tchy. I  wouldn't be so b!tchy.

I don't care of you've already apologized or not. You called him a noob in your first post before you modified it. Now you're just lying through your keyboard. That's cool, man. Do what you gotta do to stay on the good side of the people here.

Your post to Chri5 is especially hilarious. You're fed up with the mods but if it weren't for their half-assed moderating, as you say, you wouldn't even be here. I've only seen you one time and for two pages it's just BS.

No forums are perfect and you're damn sure not helping out this one.

Next time you see a thread that you don't like, don't post in it. And hey, if you do, don't call someone a noob.

I'm not a big fan of thread derailment either. Sorry about that, Mabari.

I am not complaining. I'm voicing my opinion and what I disliked about a particular aspect of a game. If I was "Whining" or "Flaming" I wouldn't say this. I don't care if they include this in ME3 or not! I just want my opinion out there!

Firewalker may have been the worst ME2 DLC.

Overall the Hammerhead was inferior to the Mako, and the missions you were given with the Hammerhead were repetitive and boring. Instead of scrapping the Mako all together after ME1, Bioware should have just improved the Mako, given you terrain that was easier to navigate, and tied it's use closely in with missions, both as part of the main story and on a few side quests.

The Mako in ME1 had it's flaws, but it was a good concept that wasn't executed as well as it could have been. It should have been improved for the second game, not scrapped, and then replaced with an inferior vehicle.

I would question whether the Hammerhead is actually 'inferior' - it's definitely on the ridiculous side of fragile and hence is inferior in toughness, but I personally really liked the sheer manueverability of the thing. It felt a bit like flying a snowspeeder from star wars.

I think it's grossly unfair to brand firewalker the 'worst DLC', and that's nothing to do with it's absence of price - it did add several planets and a vehicle after all. I mean, if we're talking about terrible DLCs, how about the Equalizer pack? A sort-of okay helmet, another helmet that didn't work and some goofy armour that looked like an Iron Man knock off. Not exactly stellar.

My gripe is that these forums don't need another Mako>HH, HH vs MAKO style of thread.

[/quote]

Is that so? My gripe is that the forums don't need another self-important loudmouth picking fights for the sake of it. Yet here you are. So I guess we all have to deal with stuff we'd rather not.

Seriously Benny, you're arguing with about four different people about the existence of this thread. If it causes you so much agony, just get lost. It's not like anyone is interested in listening to your bellyaching.

Just ignore him Mabari - maybe it's his time of the month or something, who knows. Until a mod tells you different there's no reason why you shouldn't discuss something.

On top of this, I find that the Hammerhead controls perfect. Hell, despite the repetitive design, I think that if BioWare just dropped me into any of the side quest planets the Mako could land on, I would have a blast just wandering around terrain filled with nothing. The reason I hated the Mako was because of how sluggish it moved (Also throw in the controls) and how most of the problems could have been easily fixed had either the design of the Mako or the areas it traveled in been changed to accustom one another.
<snip>

I 100% disagree with your Mako assessment, and I 100% agree with your Hammerhead assessment. Interesting :P

The sluggishness of the Mako never got me - to be honest I didn't really feel it was 'sluggish' for what it actually was. Perhaps if I was expecting a Covenant Wraith from Halo I can see where you could be coming from, but I wasn't. I was expecting something like the Hellbender from Unreal Tournament, and I got it.

I don't so much miss the Mako as I wish the Hammerhead was given a kinetic barrier, an autocannon and equal screen time to the Mako. I've grown to like it's sheer speed and manueverabiliy to the extent I'd rather keep it over getting the Mako back.

I loved how the Hammerhead moved, it was a huge and welcome improvement. However, I didn't find the Makos movement sluggish at all. Hopefully they will combine the best of both into something in Mass Effect 3.

And thanks Jaeger, I will just ignore him :pinched:

The thing that frustrated me the most was that aiming the crosshairs on the hammerhead has little to no effect on where the rockets go. I once aimed directly at a colossus only for the rockets to make a 90 degree turn towards a geth infantry soldier.

True but when its free you really have nothing to **** about. If i walked up to you and gave you a dollar would you **** about it because you didnt get a 10?

A free waste of resources that could have been spent on something of a better experience.  Firewalker was terrible and totally disconnected.  It didn't feel like part of the story at all...like insert random bonus level in random non-rpg is more what is felt like.

I only ask 2 things in ME3 for vehicles.

Save option and better auto-aim( or none at all).

Opinions are like ****s, everyone has one of them.  That being said, I don't like the hammerhead not because I suck at it but its just boring & tedious to play with.  I prefer the Mako WITHOUT ridiculous terrain like the hills you see in Eletania.

It just feels odd to me, even though a cut scene shows Shepard and two other squadies move towards the HH in the cargo bay.  Most of the time it makes no difference since there are only 1 mission & 1 DLC that they actually exit the vehicle.

I guess perhaps I'm too used to the Mako whereby you can drive it around and disembark and engage the enemy on foot or explore pre-fab structures that dot the planet.  It does actually feel like a vehicle that you are using to cruise around the planet.  With the HH?  Its more like a entirely different level with its own minigame.

Hover craft sucks and my enemies laugh when they see it.  It is a toy and not something to be used or taken seriously on the battlefield.

I thought it was kinda fun climbing up hills. Sure, after awhile it got boring, but I liked the Mako how it was. However, what Aurica wrote is true. Everyone has their own opinion.

I didn't like the Hammerhead. I'd rather have the Mako back with improved controls.

Edit: The Mako was a lot more enjoyable for those who noticed that every planet has a path to the goal so you don't have to go over ridiculous cliffs. I think a lot of people never figured this out.

I prefered the Hammerhead myself, the mako felt rather slugish and boring in the end. I really got tired of all the planets and got to the point where I did not want to land half-way accross the map from my target (even if there was a designed path). The hammerhead on the other hand required you to think a bit more in combat and was rather speedy.

Overall the Mako was not very good or enjoyable so I would really hate to go back to its boring missions.

I didn't go to every planet every time.
