people...IT IS FREE! You get what you pay for and you paid NOTHING.
sometimes the internet entertains...
It's still a reflection on Bioware regardless of whether or not it's free. It shouldn't matter if they're getting paid or not, you never lower your standards. And I'm sorry to say, but Firewalker was a diminishment in Bioware's well known standards. It reflects on them as a company how they treat each project, if it results in profit or not. Firewalker was terrible. It's the only DLc missions I've never done a second time. It was boring.

I would just like to agree with PoliteAssassin and say that I too have never played them again after the first time through them all. Except for the first one just to make my Normandy hangar full. I would also like to mention that Bring Down the Sky in ME 1 was free DLC and that was 10x better than the free material offered in ME 2. Well Zaeed wasnt a complete loss.
Bring down the sky was NOT free, otherwise I would've gotten it. And while I agree that the Firewalker missions were boring, it is understandable, and Bioware does not deserve the insults that it "lowered its standards." Firewalker was an experiment, and a means by which to showcase Bioware's hard work, which they had the generosity to give to us for free. So it wasn't up to snuff, it was also not $30 like the full game, or even $6 like other DLC. You paid nothing for it, and hence, it was a gift to all players. I bet people aren't this bratty when they receive a gift in real life. Good grief.
Now that that is out of the way, I would like to say that I found it refreshing to play the Firewalker missions because they changed up the way the game was played. It was almost like a minigame, but one that counts as missions that give XP, credits, and a biotic damage upgrade. I wonder how many people tried Firewalker once, didn't get over the learning curve of the Hammerhead, gave up and now post about how much it sucked. You'd be surprised how much certain things grow on you if you give them a chance. The Hammerhead is one of those acquired tastes.
