wow... comparing jack to kaiden or ashley.... thats just wrong.

I may not be a fan of ash or kaiden... but really? those two are :

A- far more believable characters than w/e Jack suppose to be

B- Far more likable... and no I dont mean friendly but simply kool in their own way... even if a bit winny the latter but w/e

C-....ash aint bald.

Wouldn't it be Jacob and Miranda?

Miranda and Kaidan have far more similarities between them. Both of them are the same age, are sentinels (if I recall), and are rather talented with biotics, and that's just on a more surface level.

Miranda is a bit older

Both are 35 in ME2.

Kaiden was born in 2151 therefore 34.
Miranda is either 35 or 36.

The official website states that Kaidan is 35.  His age was 32 during ME1, but presumably his birthday comes earlier during the year than Shepard's if we are to account for the age difference seeming to be two years for the first game but three years for the second.

It's true, they have a lot in common. Kaiden and Jacob are both male, whereas Jack and Ashley are both female.

Good thread. Would read again.

Only thing is that Bioware called Miranda and Jacob the female and male leads of ME2 like Ashley and Kaidan were the leads in ME1.

No, but they are both disliked as much as Kaidan and Ashley among Mass Effect fans.

Simple. Bald... means there is no hair because your own biology wont allow it. Shaved means there is no hair because you choose not to allow it.

Point remains the same... there is no hair, whether by choice or not. There is no hair in th eone place there should be.

But just in case your the nitpick sensitive politcally correct individual , I'll rephrase my statement.

C- At least Ash has Hair!:P

If you don't see hair you need to check your eyes.

You're wrong!
Kaidan is not annoying and very useful!

Jacob on the other hand...

I'd disagree with you there. Say what you want about Jacob's personality the man is a tank on the battlefield. Also, who would we spill drinks with on the citadel?

I'd say the two most similar characters in the franchise would be Miranda and Grunt. Which is funny because they are polar opposites in terms of physical appearance. Both have crazy father's that created them to be perfect. Both are cold, calculating and ruthless. They both feel that they aren't worthy of their gifts. They are both technically males....

No definately not although i see what you mean as both Jack and Kaiden had there biotics put on them in a sort of biotic camp but i dont think they were meant for replacements

Miranda possesses mobile gametes?

Interesting post otherwise.  I had never really considered those similarities before you mentioned them.  :)  Of course, Miranda is cool and controlled whereas Grunt is anything but.  Miranda is a biotics/tech specialist, whereas Grunt is pure combat.  And could you imagine Grunt in Miranda's outfit?  (Sadly, I just did.)  In spite of all this, though, I acknowledge the truth of most of what you say (obviously excepting the excerpt quoted above).  But could this be due, in part, to the vast quantity of parent-related angst in the crew as a whole?

Okay, yeah i admit i may be reaching a bit like Garrus during a sparring session with that quote so i just want to come out and say, yes, there are differences between Miranda and Grunt. I'm just saying from my perspective they are the most similar characters.

lol nitpick:lol:

In the literal sense... :police:she does have hair. prolly less than 1 milimeter of it.

In the practical sense<_<  you know very well that doesn't count as hair.

personally, if I see the skin on a woman's head... she got no hair.:pinched:

I'll end it there. We'll agree to disagree.

...wow I didn't expect this thread to live this long, especially after the way it started. This also wasn't a troll thread btw: it was just a brief thought, that's all. (but apparently that was too much).

I didn't think it was a troll thread; don't worry. People have the right to express their thoughts without being shouted down just because no one else happened to have the same thought.

Re. Jack's hair, I have no idea why it matters. She's gorgeous the way she is. Everyone has different tastes, of course, but it seems a little mean to use a vomiting icon to refer to her appearance.  I like Ash's hair, but that doesn't mean Jack's style doesn't have its own appeal.
