Just finished ME1 and installed BDTS, but have a few questions:
1. Cant I contunie the game after finished it(just like in ME2)?
2. If there is a no on question 1, must I start a new game in order to play BDTS?
3. Does BDTS affect any gameplay in ME2(import savefile from ME1)?
4. If the dlc's for ME2 affect the gameplay in ME3, does it matter if I install and play them after finishing ME2 or should I do it before I finish ME2?
DLC question

1. No
2. Pretty much
3. Nope, it doesn't really matter if you didn't play it.
4. You could play them before or after you finish the main game, either way works.

You could reload an earlier save and not have to restart the game. The only real effect it has on ME2 is a news item.

It's been quite a while since I played through and listened to them but either the female hostage or her father is holding some sort of memorial, iirc.
If you have a save from before Ilos. You can download the dlc, install it, load that save and play through, the dlc and the end of the game.
Edit: Found the information in the wikia

- If you saved the hostages during the Bring Down the Sky mission, then you will hear a news story about how celebrations are planned across the planet. Kate Bowman will read a thank you message to the soldiers who rescued her. The batarian merc leader Balak, is still at large.
- If you killed the hostages during the Bring Down the Sky
mission or did not complete the mission, then you will hear a news story
about how celebrations are planned across the planet. Michael Bowman,
Kate's father, is holding a prayer service for the ones who were lost.

Really?! You haven't played ME2 yet? Get on that. Yes, it effects it. The game autosaves at the very end.
