Either the devs are working super-overtime to finish/QA the game (extremely likely), or Mysterious Guy in EA's marketing is anti-FemHawke (possible). If there isn't something special ready to be shown, it's not going to be. At this point, I'm more worried that the game hasn't gone gold with only 5 weeks to street date, and I've pretty much given up on the idea of FemHawke getting facetime.

True enough.
I'm sure Mike spoke in good faith, don't get me wrong. Maybe there's something that's just been delayed a bit, but the devs are working their butts off on the game itself, so extras fall to the wayside. If we do get to hear the lady / get VA confirmation, I'll be as thrilled as anyone.

If we had some info about Lady Hawke in action/talking etc. released on the 02/01/11 then perhaps the forum wouldn't have imploded so badly due to that demo fiasco. I mean 'give us a bone to chew'; it feels like ages since we've had any info to get really excited about.



I can easily live without a DA2 demo, but cannot wait to hear more about Fem Hawke.

Yep.  All would have been right in the world yesterday if they had just put out a thirty second clip of Lady Hawke in action.  

I have a strong suspicion that if Chris had just divulged the LI status of Fenris or Varric, that alone would have been enough to appease many people angry about the announcement yesterday.  Me, I just want to know more about Lady Hawke, the companions can wait.

Riding the demo rollercoaster. Sheesh, what a ride. Anyway! While Claudia Black is an awesome actress, I don't think her voice can change that much... Whenever I hear her, like in Pitch Black, I think of Morrigan. She will forever be Morrigan to me, and I don't think I can handle Morrigan being the voice of my Hawkette.

I guess the Devs have to go through certain channels about any information about the game that is revealed, and its more through EA's side of things than through the Marketing Department (which probably also has to go through EA's side of things). I can respect that, with the legality that's involved between companies...

I still would like to know who Lady Hawke's VA is, though. Or hear a clip. If someone on the Dev team could say "I'm sorry, we can't show that right now or divulge that information", I'd be satisfied. At least it was addressed. Because right now, I feel like after Mike saying we'd hear her, it seems that it just fell through the cracks and was forgotten about.

Isolde's accent is typical (sometimes stereotypical)  of a french person who has learned English later in life (past the age of 13 and up) and who does not practice it often; my accent is similar to Leliana's.  I still retain a french undertone.

I did love Leliana`s accent it sounded beautiful .

Well, if the demo is really released to Gamestop employees on the 11th then it's only a matter of time before someone posts a video on the internet. I highly doubt that they will keep it all to themselves. So maybe we'll get a clip then?

If we don't get a clip of Lady Hawke talking before February 11, I'm going go ahead and download the demo (because I went to Gamestop today and when I asked for it I was kindly granted a demo code ). If nobody else does it, I'll try to record video of her speaking and youtube it for everyone else to see (assuming we can play as FemHawke in the demo...)
