If it turns out it isn't Belinda Cornish I think I'll feel a bit like Calla must have when it turned out Peter Bramhill wasn't voicing Male Hawke.

I'm still weeping.

We still haven't had confirmation Calla.

I was pulling for Peter Bramhill, too. I don't really have a favorite for femHawke. Both Alfstanna's VA and Cauthrien/Mhairi's would be good, as far as Origins VAs.

I would love it to be either Alfstanna or Cauthrien's VAs. I really want that clear, bell-like timbre those actresses have for Hawke. Unfortunately I don't think either of them had roles in ME 1 or 2, so it couldn't be them... (unless Gaider was remembering wrong when he said he 'thought' FemHawke's VA played a small role in ME).

Now I can't picture FemHawke without Cauthrien's voice.

I quite like it.

If they ever want to try a different voice actress not used in any BioWare game so far for future games, I'd recommend Sonita Henry. She voiced Ellie in Dead Space 2 - distinctly english voice, I liked her a lot.

On topic, I envy you, Minxie :P Please feel free to "spoil" FemHawke's VA as soon as you know her.

Lady Hawke voiced by Cauthrien/Mhairi would be aces. I'd love it if David was wrong about the ME connection or she voiced some tiny role that didn't get listed.

@Calla: It could be worse. He could play a villain whom you have to kill. All while he looks at you with big puppy dog eyes or something. :crying:

She sounded South African to me.

She did? Well she's born and raised in Dover, and moved to the US in the late 90's - but I'm no expert in english accents.

I just listened to Cassandra again, and I
hear a sort of Slavic accent of sorts, like a ball-busting Russian KGB
agent/interrogator or maybe even a ballsy German accent hmmmm but I'm
probably wrong [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

I'm not great at accents to be honest, but I'd guess they would save the German accents for the Anderfels? Isn't that supposed to be Germanic? I could be wrong. Like the Russian KGB interrogator idea though. :police:

I listened to her again - that's a hard accent to guess - and you're right, it's not really German,  that would sound even sharper - whatever accent it is, it's very exotic and attractive.

I was hoping that Corinne Kempa might voice Fem Hawke but she's not English by birth so that rules her out I guess :(

If we're lucky there may not even be a need. A new trailer/dev diary/something could pop up in the next 8 days featuring Lady Hawke and her voice. ;)

If we don't get a clip of Lady Hawke talking before February 11, I'm going go ahead and download the demo (because I went to Gamestop today and when I asked for it I was kindly granted a demo code ^_^). If nobody else does it, I'll try to record video of her speaking and youtube it for everyone else to see (assuming we can play as FemHawke in the demo...)

Wait, you just asked for a demo code, and they gave it to you?

...I'm gonna have to try that...

You should know I didn't it get on my first try. I tried one Gamestop and asked while I was paying for another game (I thought it would help my chances if I was purchasing something). The 2 guys knew what I was talking about and debated amongst themselves for a few minutes about whether or not they could give me a code, and finally they said they didn't want to risk it (I remember one of them saying "Why did they send us so many??" so they must have had way more than they needed).
I then went to another nearby Gamestop and sweetly asked the guy there if I could have one. He was all unsure about it at first, and then said he'd give me one if I pre-ordered DA2 with them. I've already pre-ordered the Sig edition with Amazon and told him so, and I was all "Aw shucks" and made a sad, puppy face. He then relented and said he'd give me one anyway. :)

Daivid Gaider said LadyHawke VA was in ME too?  I'll go ahead and put money on Belinda Cornish then.
Vaughn and Goldanna, champions of Kirkwall!  :P

Warrior Vaughn: Out of my way, you venemous cow!  I'm off to save this miserable cesspool of a country! They'll be chanting my name by the end of the day, just you watch! The wretched picts.
Rouge Goldanna: Now wait just a fine minute! I'll be the one saving this country, not that they done me any favors, no.  *spits* I got mouths to feed and purses to pinch, so you just get outta my way, with your fancy sword and armor.  High and mighty my arse. Get!

LOL classic!

I always crack up when I hear  Belinda as Goldanna say "thems over at the castle"

The Voice Actress who voiced Ariane in Witch Hunt, would be perfect for her (Her voice is feminine, inviting... truly versatile). I do not know her background... if she is British (too tired to look it up) .

Would it really hurt to tell us who voices her? I mean, we were told that we might hear it before 2.1.11, and we didn't. Or Can you give us three or five actresses and have one of them be her? C'mon we're dying here!

It's obvious that the marketing team is comprised of monkeys. We just need to send them some bananas, I'm sure they'll give us some more info.
