I did cuz she annoyed the hell out of me.  Ignored me, trash talked my best friend, and then said I smelled. Disrespect is everywhere.

She also strongly  intimates it beforehand. Once Leliana tells Marjolaine to stop bullsh!tting around about why she sent assassins to kill her, Marjolaine admits, "In truth, you have knowledge you can use against me. For my own safety, I cannot let you be."

And as if that's not enough, she then proceeds to go on and on about how she's been stalking Leliana for years. One doesn't need to be a meta-gaming fortune teller to predict what will happen.

I thought that Leliana stated that she was lying and that she wouldn't be back.

wickedgoodreed is correct -- the only time in that conversation where Leliana says Marjolaine is lying is when talking about why she [Marjolaine] sent the assassins after her [Leliana].

Edit:  Here's the comment afterwards if you let her live, along with the scripting comment.

Leliana: She's gone. I don't know what to think. She said it wasn't over. No--she was lying. She won't come back. (A little stunned, but worried about whether the ordeal is over and trying to convince herself that it is.)

Later, she decides she has to go after her herself if she's not in love with the warden.

AND she says this in the conversation afterwards if you don't kill her:

Leliana: Even now, I feel some regret at not ending her life, in order to protect my own.

I've killed her in all but my first encounter with her. Or rather, Leliana just chips away at her HP the second Marje does her captivating song for the remainder of the fight. Then everyone else pulls away and Lel has her kill.

I kill her in 95% in my games anyway but was recently doing my Import save for DA2 and was unsure which one to pick this time around.. but yeah decided to just kill her. Thanks all =D

This is what happened to me. I let her live and I played a commoner dwarf. I have a theory to what happens at the epilogue of the game. I aimed for the good ending and Leliana started making bard songs about my sacrifice. After she started doing that, she vanished. "Oh Leliana darling is looks like your friend is gone. No one to protect you, no? Well, bye bye!" She tried keeping under the shadows after she got away from her. It seems like she gets her at the end if you let the **** live. I regret letting her live because Leliana was one of my favorite characters and it makes me want to cry :, (

And there is a sticky saying not to post spoilers in your title description, And I never knew you had the chance to kill her till now. ;P

I told her to ****** off, and that Leliana is aiding the Grey Wardens. She mistakenly believed that Leliana was out for vengeance, but their conflict was none of my business, really.

I let her go but after playing through "Leliana's Song" campaign i'm thinking it might have been better to kill her.

When i first startedd playing I chose one of the dialogues where she just walks away. After that it took me a while to figure out she can be killed. Once I learned that, she gets deep sixed every game. What she did to Leliana was hideous

No one seems to account for the possibility the feud could end peacefully in someway, even if it seems unlikely. Even if this feud can only end in the death of one, alot of people don't seem to think Leliana can't handle herself, she's not a delicate flower that needs protecting in a fight.

I have to admit, with DA2 coming up i'm wondering (more like worrying) if some decisions will have a affect on it or later games, and if so, how? This is one of those decisions.

I personally perfer the soft ending as opposed to the hard one. Mostly because the soft ending has a together, forever, in love element to it.

That's cute, she loves me! Though, I did not want her to kill her self. There could be a chance she shows up in Dragon Age 2 and the actions you do in this game effects the next one. But then again, I killed flemeth and she returns in the seconed game. I sometimes speculate if morrigan is flemeth in the seconed game. It was one of the reasons why I didn't want to have her child. But I could be wrong. She mentions at the end of The Witch Hunts that Flemeth is still alive and she said she still loved me as a friend with those puppy dog eyes. I am off topic though.

You're not alone, I didn't realize killing her was an opition till I looked it up online.

I'd still kill her, paragon path or not. Maorjolaine says herself she can't let Leliana live. She doesn't even plead for mercy. So she doesn't get any. Since I'm not given an option that would keep Leliana and the rest of the world safe without killing her, like having her arrested, I feel like I don't have a choice.
