Even the most merciful paragons won't spare Marjolaine. But I agree with giggles, the accent is kinda fake and annoying. (Not mention shes crazy) Not suprised everybody ended up killing her.

Plus she just uses Leliana and then tosses her aside like a used rag. How horrible!

I normally had her killed because I felt she would continue to come after Leliana no matter what, even when Leliana went to great lengths to start over again. (You get the idea.) After playing Leliana's Song, I will always kill her because she was responsible for the death of one of my favorite characters in the DLC. ;)

Agreed! Plus, she's got a great bow for Leliana!:D

I'm happy to spare people, give second chances, and so on. But in order for that to be feasible, there has to be at least a glimmer of remorse first, an acknowledgement of wrongdoing. I didn't see any of that in Marjolaine (or Loghain for that matter; I'd never spare him either). All I saw was some sick piece of sh*t whose entire life and only love beside herself is to hurt people in every imaginable way, to ruin them through intrigue, have them imprisoned and tortured, raped and executed, likely all with a smug smile on her perfect little face.

Someone like that has to be neutralized, period. There is not a shred of compassion in letting them run free so they can brutalize countless more people. The only compassion such a creature merits is a far, far cleaner and quicker death than any of their victims had.

No, both because I don't like killing and because that fight is annoying.

I beat her on nightmare on level 8 so you obviously don't know how to fight. P.S. The posters all made valid reasons for why you SHOULD kill her. Enjoy having Leliana be harassed jerk

A bit harsh, don't you think?

Cut them some slack. It's tough to find real French people in Canada.

I've only killed her once. That was a playthrough where my character was a murderous bastard who would cut down his mother for a pouch of gold. I did it because I reasoned that he'd ponder being able to ransack her home and more heavily influence Leliana once the deed was done.

On all of my playthroughs except the current one I'm doing on PC, I killed her; but now, I just let her live because I hadn't experienced that situation yet. It just made sense to let her live, especially since I got her bow in the end anyway.

I enjoyed the sequence where I killed her more, though; more satisfying almost.

Nope. She just left. After playing Leliana's Song, I would have killed her...
