And Which will you import into dragon age 2?
For me: Either Human Noble or Dwarf Noble. Still deciding

I find both the origin and general gameplay of the mage to be most satisfactory for me.
However, the origin that touched/upset me the most is without doubt the City Elf (as a female).

I know you can have a son with morrigan but I mean with its soul taken over by the Archdemon it doesn't really feel as if its yours. and Half Dwarf Baby would be to weird for me.

I loved the human noble origin, it seemed to be tied into the main plot more than the others, plus it's been my most satisfying playthrough so far.
The other is human mage. Arcane warrior is a blast to play.
I'll probably be importing both for different Hawkes, if that's possible. I'm most looking forward to the human mage import though, since that origin might well be tied to Hawke's family history. Hawke's mother's maiden name is Amell, the same as the human mage's surname, which means Hawke and the human mage warden may well be half-siblings or cousins or something. It would be quite cool to see DA1 and DA2 as the story of the rise of the Amell family.

As far as I've heard, you don't actually import anything related directly to your character, but events that you triggered in Origins (probably political decisions, etc.). So (no spoliers!) for example, If you helped one party and killed another, this will carry over to DA2. Amiright?
Yep, you're right.

You're going to be in for a BIG disappointment.

Out of all of them, that easily my favorite.

Its pretty obvious that the game was designed with that as the default origin, and it shows in the way the other origins feel a bit ''tacked-on'' to the main Blight/Throne-of-Ferelden storyline.

errant_knight, thanks for the reply. It would be funny if you could at some point in DA2 see a statue of the "Archdemon Slayer" (actually looking like your character in DA:O)...

As some others have also said, I liked how the hn origin tied into the main story. There were many instances where npcs recognized my hn as a Cousland and addressed him as "my lord" or something similar. I especially liked playing as a human noble during the landsmeet and speaking to the nobles in the gnawled noble tavern. Then there's the added bonus of being able to become king/queen consort to Alistair or Anora if desired.
I also liked both dwarven origins. The dwarf noble had a good plot to it, and I liked playing as a thug as a dwarf commoner. Killing people doesn't feel as bad when your character has made a living out of it.
The mage origin was ok, but nothing special.
I have yet to play a dalish or city elf warden.

I only just discovered it when playing through the DN origin again today. I normally say "These women offend me Gorim" and have em sent away

first and foremost, I love playing as an elf as they're by far my favorite race in the game. Secondly, mages are quite powerful in combat and I prefer them over a warrior type. I also like the fact that this is pretty much the most hated mix by society ( mage + elf = bad ) Not to mention that I adored the origins storyline. I liked Jowan, he's my favorite companion in the origins story, especially later it gets more interesting. Overall, mages can have a great impact on a few things afterwards ( even in Awakening in some conversations )
However, I also liked the City Elf origin as a rogue ( only the male one, though )
I found it pretty interesting to see how something that was once hated becomes something that is respected. Plus, rogues are a class I can bear with - opening locks and the like is pretty useful. I also liked that you got a pretty good insight on how abusive humans really are towards elves - you never get it as much if you never played the city elf origin. So yeah.
I'm still rooting for Elf Mage though

Elven was the race I was most comfortable being. If there had been a human commoner story, perhaps that one but as there wasn't, moot point

There actually was originally a Human Commoner story that was going to be in the game, you can find traces of it in Origins still as alot was already implented. He was from Redcliffe and was a farmer or something. Idk why they removed it
There was also a Human Barbarian one as well

I will import all of them depending on how many Hawkes I make. Each one has a different ending for me.

I truly enjoy the Dwarf Noble origin story. It's a delicious story. I did not want it to end. However, the dalish elf is my favorite. I love what they represent: freedom to be oneself and live life your way.
