Alright, so this started with that DLC glitch that unauthorized ALL of my DLC.  I went through the steps and got that fixed.  Except Witch Hunt and the Witchcraft DLCs STILL won't authorize, even after I've run them through the daupdater.

I bought Dragon Age through Steam and have it installed on two computers.  I managed to get all my DLC aside from Witch Hunt/Witchcraft on both computers just fine.  So why aren't these latest ones working?

Bumping this up because this is STILL an issue. I have now followed every hint available on these forums (and kudos to the gamers who figured out all the little nitpicky tricks). Every other DLC is working fine. Still just Witch Hunt and Witchcraft that is unauthorized.

I bought DA:O through Steam when it first came out. No ultimate edition, though I did get the deluxe pack when it was available way back when.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

Well... we're getting information here in dribbles, and your latest update helps a little. You can manually re-install Witch Hunt. Check out http://dragonage.wik...oadable_Content for instructions.

I recommend a reboot of the computer and not starting the game BEFORE running the manual installation. Also, you'll see at that link that you will need to download and install two files... the actual DLC and its associated "offer" file.

Good luck!

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I already have tried the manual install and it still isn't authorizing. I think the next step is to wipe any trace of Witch Hunt that I've already downloaded and try from scratch again. Though I tried that once already and it didn't work. Ten millionth time is the charm?

Well, I guess I will wait and see if this works or not. By the way I am running on x32 bit vista

There's always EA's official tech support... help.dragonage.com or support.ea.com

For Steam users, this simple fix I saw in the Steam forums (posted by Warlord STE) fixed my issue:

find your dragon age folder, you may have saved it else where but this is how I find mine.

C:\\\\\\\\Program Files \\\\\\\\ Steam \\\\\\\\ steamapps \\\\\\\\ common \\\\\\\\ dragon age ultimate edition

once your in there find the file that says REDIST should be near the bottom, once in there run the file that says DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam when that finishes run the other file called DAUServiceSetup_Steam, when both have finished start up your dragon age ultimate and hopefully everything should be working.

I found this in a thread and it helped me get all my downloadable content in a jiffy.....have you tried that?

I got it working! Thank you to everyone who offered suggestions. I'm not sure what did it, but after a complete wipe of anything related to Witch Hunt and a fresh download via the downloadable content screen, it's working.

I would suggest to anyone still having issues with one or two DLC not working, delete it. Get rid of the offending DLC, focus on getting the other stuff to work right first (ie. other DLC, the updater, etc.), and THEN download it from scratch once more. The suggestions in this forum helped immensely in getting this DLC to work right. Thank you everyone.

Let's hope DAII goes a bit smoother, eh?
