This will be the first game that I will actually try to use the toolset for...

Very new to this so I know mine will suck for awhile, I know I am no Hacker or modder, dont understand alot of this stuff....

Anyhow to my questions....
1. Will this allow us to just add custome weapons/armor in the main game?
2. will it allow us to add facial presets, other hair, beard, and facial tats to the ingame CC?

You will be able to add new items, new NPCs, new quests, new areas and so on. Basically, the toolset is the same as the one used to build the game (although BioWare used other tools, like 3D modeling programs as well).

You can also change the game mechanisms, and basically change just about everything....well, except the GUI, as that is hardcoded.

You can also make a "new " stand-alone game, instead of just making an add-on to DA:O.

Some things are more complicated than others, though, and it is probably not advisable to try to master the entire toolset at once.

Is there some place to actually learn how do do some of this stuff or are there tutorials in the editor?

I'm thinking/hoping that people will create their own tutorials, and post them on here.

people that want to do tutorials should join the wiki group and extend the toolset wiki so everything remain in one place.

At the top click "wikis" then select "Dragon Age toolset Wikis"
You can get started there. It is a lot to soak in so take it slow and start with what sounds most interesting to you. The Wikis will improve over time as more info is added so don't get discouraged if the information is incomplete or limited.

are you logged in on the dragon age origins community page? maybe thats what you need since it references you back there or maybe just go to WIKI in your browser and type in dragonage toolset see if that works.

There have been some wiki log in issues - it should clear up soon.
