I'd really like to know if this is being taken care of. I've played the game for about 15 hours, post patch, and I'm getting out of sync audio in EVERY single cutscene that has some kind of action going on. Usually I just sit there wanting the scene to be over, because I can't even concentrate on what's going on. If this happened in a movie theater, I'd be out of there within 5 minutes.

i just got this game w/ about 3 hours in now and i have the same issue.

lips seem fine(maybe .5 -1 second off), but when guns start firing and sound effects starts happening

during cutscenes, i get a huge 2-3 second delay. this happens to almost

every cutscene unless it's only  a conversation-only cutscene. it's getting really irritating to watch :\\

i'm glad it's just not me, but this really takes me out of the experience.

kind of dissapointing for an allegedly "definitive" version of the game :(

please bioware, i hope we atleast get some news that you're working on this.

Edit - The delete game data trick did not work for the out of sync audio. Same cut scene on the Shadow Broker mission, the shuttle ride to the base. Audio was way off. :(

pretty much everything that involves sound effects(gun firing, doors opening/closing , explosions, etc)

is out of sync for me during those non-interactive scenes as well.

I get the audio out of sync but I also get sound cutting out completely and sometimes when I go into the galaxy map the music won't play and instead I have to eerily navigate to the next mission, I'm on the disc version(UK) on a fat 80gb ps3

i'm sure they'll eventually notice as long as this thread is constantly bumped.

i have a feeling they already know. of course they probably won't say anything

until it's on testing phase.

Ok, let's bump the topic - I just spent two hours removing all the data files, restarting the console and now I install the game files + DLC + the patch. Then I'll see how the out of sync audio issue looks like. Will keep you posted, Guys!

What weirds me out is how a problem like this made it past QA. This isn't something that randomly happens either. It happens during the exact same cut scenes (on freedom's progress with the YMIR mech, when Jack escapes and sees the Normandy ect) consistently. How did the game testers miss this? I can understand not catching a bug that happens during random points or under unusual circumstances but how this one got by is beyond me.

Bioware I love you guys but you need to get some Japanese game testers on your staff. To this day I have not played a Japanese game that had issues on the scale of the glitches found in western games. When you buy a Japanese game you KNOW that bad boy will work as intended.

i don't wanna doubt bioware, but the back of my mind is saying that they probably just thought "meh.. we'll patch it later"

an out-of-sync glitch like this just seems so obvious not to notice.

i mean i noticed this issue within the first 2 hours of playing this game.

right off the bat, i knew there was something wrong with the cutscenes

which really sucks because this game is filled with it.

update: i tried a different hdtv, thinking it might be an output issue, but still no luck.
i also tried using different display formats (720p, 480p(sd), 1080p, 1080i) no luck.

Yes, I have the sync issues in all the cutscenes and  some other problems too. In some cutscenes the characters models disappears,  some times the music just stop playing. But this problems just starts since the new patch.

I was told Mass Effect 2 was better than Mass Effect ( most cases true) So I decided to wait awhile. I just bought it. Hoping that any bugs early on would be fixed.

but this Audio Lag seriously ruins the game for me. I am glad I am not the only one with this issue.

It really takes me out of the game when stupid **** (that can easily be patched) happens.

Hey Bioware. How about you TAKE TIME TO MAKE A GAME INSTEAD OF RUSHING IT OUT

Yup. It's a beautiful game, but the sound issues are so severe it makes me wanna skip through all the cutscenes. If this doesn't get fixed I'll probably just sell the game and buy it for the PC later or something.

Still waiting for an update... Bioware.

You do realise, that this small issue can be devastating towards your future sales right... Iirc, ME3 comes out near the same time as Skyrim and Uncharted 3.

Because of the current issue with the constant audio delays throughout the game. My mind is already made up about which games i'm going to invest in by the end of this year. ME3 has been removed from my wishlist.

Good day Bioware. Kthxbai.

^ i agree.. this kinda makes me wanna think otherwise before i buy ME3 on the ps3.

it was on the top of my list next to uncharted 3, but the amount of bugs in this game

is a huge turn off. the pc and 360 versions runs nowhere near as bad as this port.

sony needs to start regulating these atrocious ports.

I had that same issue, although only in some cutscenes, i absolutley adored every second of this game but the sound lag really takes out from the experience... i'm hoping bioware will have the decency to fix this, it's a real shame that a masterpiece have an easily fixed but big flaw like this

i hope it comes out soon. i don't like it. i've played on the PC before, and it was perfect, beginning to end. i'll admit, the audio does kinda kill it for me sometimes, but knowing that they're working on it makes me feel at least a bit better..

also the freezing issues, i loathe. with a passion. @.@

i sometimes get audio lag, but the main problem i have had is audio cuts. they skip to the next sentence without finishing what they were sayin.
