You can only get talents if you have enough base points right? So for Flicker You need 52 base? For Vigilance you need 42/44 Buffed, but what I am asking is will there be enough points leftover to make Cun as effective as just putting the rest of the points in strength? With your build did you find str or cun (if you ever experimented with it) did better/more damage. Thanks for the info

I'd go for strength all the way. Especially if you're not going to put too many points into Dex.TheBigMatt90 wrote...

Lethality might replace strength for the damage you do, but it won't help your attack score, and without the benefits of really high Strength or Dex, you're going to see yourself missing.... alot. Really bad news when you're using 2-handed weapons.
Also, In Awakening, there's the snowball effect with strength. The best armor just happens to bestow huge strength bonusses. So raising your strength into the 50s in order to wear Clamshell or the Golem plate is a further benefit, as it will raise your strength score higher than you'd ever be able to get Cunning
But that's just my speculation, as again, the only time I've done a rogue two-hander I maxed strength out, not cunning

Its not so bad, you actualy get a noticable attack speed increase when your backstabing with twohanders not to mention a large damage increase.
I like to claim I pioneered this build, with my Barbarian setup. Ranger/Duelest, though Assassin can still benefit due to preferance to be backstabing as much as possible.
Basic Setup I think is only like 22-24 Cun and all other points Str. Similar to a two hand warrior build.

Cool, you wouldnt recommend any dex? Or the minimum for Rogue skills?

What you can do, is using the console to give you acces to all fighter talents. (base, two handed and sword and shield).
Of course cheating stays cheating, but when there is no mod to give a rogue two hand talents...
You can also use the PC toolset on one of your rogue saves and insert the warrior talent number 4022 I've only used it for specific Rogue talent mods though the Rogue two handed backstab sucks IMO you can get off two stabs with a sword in the same timeframe...

Sure thing; it is just a matter of adding the warrior talent tree to your rogue
character in the DAtoolset. Once that is done, your character will forever have
access to both the rogue and warrior talent progression. I realize this is not
an exclusive workaround for just the shield talents, but it requires no mod to
download. The way to do this is to open a saved game of your rogue character's
(usually My Documents-->BioWare-->Dragon
Age-->Characters-->[character
name]-->Saves-->Slot_#-->[character name]#.das), go to:
SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR-->SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR-->SAVEGAME_CREATURE_STATS-->SAVEGAME_TALENTLIST,
and there you will find a list of the character's talents; both the trees and
the individual talents. The list will appear as a vertical row of numbers.
Right-click on the line where it says SAVEGAME_TALENTLIST and choose the option
'insert' and then 'UINT32'. This will add another line to that list. In the
last column to the right, double-click the blank entry and type the number
4022. Save the change and you're done! When you next look at your character's
talent list upon opening that saved game, you should see the warrior talent
trees listed. Keep in mind that the change will only affect subsequent saves of
that save file, and not any others which you might have saved prior.
I hope this information proves useful,
