Why do people love to hate on Fox News but almost always neglect to mention the idiocies of MSNBC and other 'left-wing' programs? I find it laughable at best and hypocritical at worst.
We could just leave it at "All network news" is bias and stupid, and they would all pick up on it. The reason for the Fox backlash is because they are the ones who tried to smear the first Mass Effect.
As for the M/M romance ideas, at least one of the characters should have the option. I personally would never know if it was there (I played Dragon Age a bajillion times and never knew there was a Zevron romance). Realistically, Bioware could even re-use the lines from the femshep romance, with a few changes for the m/m. I don't see why people get all fired up about including something like this. I would gladly lose one of my straight male romance options to give choice to others.
(especially if it was Jack)
Also, Tali needs to be a femshep romance option.
it wasnt really fox smearing it rather them bringing an activist (forget her name, but I remember her new books ratings on amazon or b&n tanking after that interview) with Geoff Kiely (might have spell that wrong) and then the fox news reporter doing the interview (along with one of the others in teh group with her) not giving Geoff enough time to correct what the book writer was saying that was incorrect.
sometimes people hear just a few words or points and thinkg "oh wow really" and don't wait for the (Paul harvery line inc) the rest of the story. could have easily happened on any network and I've seen the same if not worse in other (more important) areas of discussion on other said networks as well.
and on the subject of the relationship capabilities in ME, you have 12 team members (Jacob, Miranda, Garus, Mordin, Legion, Samara, Thane, Zaeed, Kasumi, Tali, Jack, Grunt) yourself and Kelly. thats 13 people out of how may billion? if not trillion. the pure odds of any one of them being not straight is huge. speaking purely statisticly none of them being homosexual or bisexual is actually pretty accurate. and remember it is their (Bioware's) game so what they do with it is their choice and they are owned by EA as well and both companies do have to maintain certain public images both in Canada and US as well as other areas of the world (think local cultures).
edit: and a good idea from the poster one or two posts above me, have a toggle option to turn on or off the romance option for mm or ff romance options. probably would make it easy for anyone to handle and no chance for public backlash since it can be turned off.
