OK so I played both mass effect 1 and 2 as an adept and found it extremely fun and enjoyable. But now i'm planning on replaying ME2 to make sure everythings right for ME3 but I really want a change of scenery.

I've never played anything than the adept and I intend on playing on hardcore or insanity and I was wondering which class would give the best change of gameplay, I orignally thought the soldier but I'm not sure I can stand the lack of abilities now I'm thinking sentinel or inflitrator but i'm not sure whether the sentinel will be that much different to an adept. Any suggestions??....

Personally my first ever playthrough was casual adept (for story), and from that to insanity vanguard; although there are still biotics the gameplay is quite different.

How did you play your adept, and what sort of style are you looking for in a new run?
Infiltrator might give you a fresh perpective, being polar opposite from adept; or engineer if you want to go pure tech.

Try Vanguard, being able to charge enemies is insane and you can get in close and kill stuff with shotguns which is always a rewarding experience. Aggressive gameplay yeah and can sometimes be a bit frustrating but learning how to fight at the vanguard will change how you could potentially play other classes, and tbh CQC action is pretty cool.

As far as I'm aware, optimal play with the Sentinel still involves bringing along a squad mate (or two) with pull  to warp bomb enemies, so unless you plan to ignore warp, or use it only as a defense stripper, the game play will be somewhat similar to the Adept. This is even more likely if you play a caster sentinel.

Infiltrator is probably a better choice for a complete change of scenery, and incinerate sniping can be pretty useful. Also, AI Hacking, as shown in the AI Hacking thread, can be pretty good fun.
