Heres what i think bioware is ****ed for me3. No way they can please every one. If ashley is me3 party member liara fans get mad and if liara is then ahsley fans get mad and if they both are and some me2 character is forgotten people will get mad.

Unless they have all character from me1 and me2 all as party members someone will not get there favourite character.

It doesn't matter. Even if they do implement every character from every game someone is going to be pissed. I can easily see a hundred threads after the release of ME3 all saying "OMG herp derp all characters are shoehorned into ME3 it breaks imersion!". Either way not everyone is going to be happy.

To be honest I find it a bit saddening how some people want fanservice so badly in their ME games.
I like Tali and Garrus but would be totally okay if they weren't squad members in ME3, as long as there is a good explanation.

I so want it... only if it means degracing both of them and telling them to take a hike I got true friends who wont ditch me.

God I want that so bad..." Ash it was good knowing you... but we're done is better if you leave.... actually I'll leave makes it easier. And no you aren't welcome anytime"

sigh... the joy. Would bring me as much joy as beginning ME3 by holding the citadel hostage with a quarian rachni geth armada....:devil::wub::devil:

There is at least one more story bridging DLC coming.

ME3 will have story. It will just have alot of plotholes and unawnsered questions similar to Halo 3.

Yep, that's what I've read from the devs themselves.  I'd provide a link but I don't have one.  Maybe someone else around here does.  I wish for more DLC's too and even though I'm a bigger Liara fan, I will be seriously disappointed and angry if this is not Ash/Kaidan DLC.  I've already lost most of my hope for ME3 to be a good ending to Commander Shepard's story.  If they don't patch things up for Ash/Kaidan, things really won't be looking good.

HALO 1

How will the chief get back?... wprolly be covered in HAlo 2

HALO 2:

i got back, I am kicking ass... and we're already loosing the fight btw.... the end.

when there is too much story and not enough guts from the company... doesn't turn out well. I've seen it before.

AGain unless they dish out a huge game with multiple cd's that will make history... but knowing EA... doubt it.

Eh I figured I'd troll the troll back.

Anyways the fact remains character's are only as important as the plot demands. That applied for Liara and it applies for Kaidan and Ash.

Hell if the devs felt like it they could give Kaidan/Ash some super special weapon that can destroy all the reapers and make them the most important character in ME3.

It simply is as the plot demands.

Shhh. Do not speak of such things. It's like saying he name of some generic evil person from any number of fantasy stories / movies / games. Saying it out loud may give it power and make it a reality!

But in all seriousness, if that happens and the plot doesn't finish. I may cry.

nah the plot prolly will finish, but they most likely will do a massive gap and leave a whole bunch of stuff unsaid.

Take this into account.

They said it will only be one more DLC.

Well there is still.

the quarian geth trouble. that is one big dlc

Wrex uniting an entire planet, and breeding enough krogan to justify them as shock troopers. which means a vaccine for the genophage... which means conflcit with the stg.

And who can forget the lovable emotionally bound bastard of a traitors... erm aka ASh.//kaiden.

The krogan can't breed over just a game... they need years, now within 5-10 years they'll have the troops necessary... any less than that is not pheasable even for them.

The quarian geth... that also takes a while, the quarians need time to settle, and that doesn't happen fast, at least not for their entire people to retrofit their fleet. if anything and at the speed of god knows whom. It would take them years to get ready... not a decade prolly working non stop but I dont really know.

And the adorable traitors... which I once held in high regard.... you might solve that in game in ME3.

No matter hwo you look at it some thing can't be done in 1 game... if so feels lik ODST dejavu all over again.

PS: edit: forgot to mention. WE HAVEN'T DONE anything to recruit or convince the terminus systems... and we all know pirates terrorists and drug users take longer to convince than politicians.

Because the current writing team is obsessed with Liara. Redemption, Shadow Broker, Genesis... yeah, you get the picture. Aaaanyway, as I've said a million times in a million threads just like this one, while I really don't give a rip about any of the ME1 LIs, Kaishley Willenko got undeservingly shafted, and either needs DLC or one hell of a comeback in ME3 to make up for it.

I do remember that one of the leads on the ME project said we'd be rewarded for our loyalty in ME3 if we stayed true to the LI we had in ME1. Before anyone asks for a citation, all I remember was the comment was made just after ME2 came out and everybody saw that Ash/Kaiden were only cameos this time around.

Edit: as for Liara understanding that Shepard is working with TIM rather than for him, please remember that Liara was the one who retrieved Shepard's body for Cerberus in the first place, so Shepard's return isn't coming at her cold like it did for Ash or Kaidan. Add to that the fact that Liara is civlian and Ash and Kadian aren't. Soldiers, especially line soldiers, are  trained to think in black and white (this is not a put down toward anyone who's served in the military, for whom I have the greatest respect) because trying to debate moral dilemmas on a bttle field will get you killed. Plus Ash and Kaidan have the right to have reservations about Ceberus considering what they saw during ME1. It's not that Liara's any smarter than the other two, she just has a different perspective on the whole thing.

I think a better job could have been done to convey the fact that Shepard knew s/he was on a suicide mission and not wanting to burden his/her LI with Shepard dying a second time. Other than that I honestly believe we'll see the VS on board the Normandy for ME3, as it makes sense that Ash or Kaiden would want to be there if what we've seen in the trailers is what we really SAW in the trailers *remembers ME2's first trailer*

Coz at least liara is smart enough to reliaze your working WITH TIM... and not for him... and only because nobody else is doing a dam thing.

Thats why... she is the smartest of the 3.

Liara is not alliance so she doesn't have the same loyalty to them, not to mention she's the one who handed you over to cerberus i na first place, for her to be mad at you for working with them, would be completely idiotic.

she knows a lot more then Kaidan/Ash, she knows for a fact that you didn't fake your own death, her situation is different, so her reaction is also different.

and as I said in another threat Virmire survivors are the only 2 characters who's stories aren't resolved yet, which is why people are asking for DLC.  personaly, I don't care how/when I get that resolution, whether its in ME3 or via downloadable content, as long as that resolution happens.

lolwut, its establishd as soon as you see/hear about Kaishley Willenko you know theyre just the same lame characters they were before, soldiers with no special identity. Liara has a link to saren (her mother is sarens second in command so to speak) in me1, and as soon as shes seen/heard of in me2, you know she wants to take down/investigate the shadow broker (who is a major player in galactic... everything) the characters have been given their new roles, and unless a drastic timelapse happens like in me1 to me2, not much is going to happen by the looks of things.
i might not have said it well in either posts, but i wasnt trolling.

EDIT: also, why would Kaishley Willenko suddenly get supreme weapons of dominance if theyre just soldiers, with slightly more command than in me1, the only reason you even saw them in me2 was just to lure shepard onto horizon anyway.

oh my mistake, I thought you wan'ted a dlc for them both. I dont disgree witha  resolution. Just saying they aren't worth as a dlc... personally though.

not yes I agree that Liara knows more... hell she is the one who set in motion ME2.

but trust... thats what is all about, trust. if they dont trust you enough... then they jsut dont trust you.

Simple comparison I always made... was Dr. Chawkas. After finding her... was a relief. I was thrilled that she did trust me... she knew less about me than ash or garrus... but garrus joined me. I was in a roll there. I was so happy I thought I was goingt o get ash back with garrus and blow some zhit up.... then I met ASh and ... my adoration for her crumbled down. She trusted me when it suited her.

Still for the most part I want a resolution to it too. Nevertheless the thing that made me almost hate Ash was how hypocritical she is. I understand she doesn't know everything... give me a chance, if you still dont beleive me then ok at least you gave me a chance I dont blame you. I feel like she is the wife of a cheting husband who doesn't want to see her husband is cheating... and even when you show her proof she doesn't even want to see it.

bad analogy I k now but... in ME1 she said she doesn't trust ppoliticians... fact she trusts politicians above me... really got to me.

In anycase, Ash is one of the best characters ever made in my opinion... very few characters have spurred love and hate in the same quantities as she has.:(<3:devil:

I'm going to try and explain this from a logistical perspective. Liara's DLC was 1.8 gigs, that is on the very upper fringes of the 2 gig limit on all purchases made through the marketplace sans Games on Demand. It's a technical limitation and it won't change until Microsoft puts some serious work into a work around.

People already griped about different things in Liara's DLC that were due to this size constraint, be it length, or automatic dialogue. So at best, with as much automatic dialogue as we have in Lair, we'd have a DLC that's half the size. The only way to ensure "equal" treatment would be to make 2 seperate DLCs that cover the same territory but only have one of the survivors. The obvious problem in this execution is that if they don't do it, then it's a short gimped experience that will be likened to Witch Hunt. If they do split it then they deal with accusations of being "cheap".

Sorry to say it, but unless it's in the form of a disc expansion(which everyone would love more then another 4-5 hour one off DLC) we won't be seeing a VS DLC. Even if we don't see a DLC though, we may still get an expansion, if we're lucky. The announcement of which would be delivered most likely in the form of a pamphlet in DA(think the one in Awakening)

And the only reason she's interested in the shadow broker is because of the stupid plot device that was Shepard's death. (Which in itself is even more damn stupid that there's a body in the first place it should be gone from either burning up or the Collectors taking it themselves). And then in a *brilliant* move she hands him over to Cerberus. The group whose lead researcher wanted to place a control chip in his brain.

And yes you're trolling.

Why would Liara want to go after Shep's corpse after he was a complete douche to her (you can be one to her). For the same reason. The plot demands it.
