 So, with Dragon Age 2 approaching quickly, (less than two months away!!) I have been putting a great deal of thought into my character. I have her name (almost) picked out, her class, her possible romance partners, etc. I have also begun to plan out her appearance.

I imagine many others out there have done the same, and if so, are you planning to stick with the default Hawke, or create your own character? What will s/he look like if you do decide to customize him/her?

My first hawke, male will be based off of me, like mass effect. And like mass effect, I will make decisions if I was there.



My second hawke will probably be a fem warrior, "renegade". Heh. I think I will replicate my sheps in hawke form. Should be fun.

Didn't think of a name yet. Nothing goes that well with Hawke. I'll probably not use the default face because it looks weird to me.

Most likely, I'll play a male mage, with blood magic spec (probably). Mostly because I am not a fan of warriors and while I loved the rogue in Origins, I hate how it's like in DA2, so mage.

Will most probably be very pro-mage freedom. Maybe too much in fact. Will see.

The default appearance is most tempting in games with lackluster character creation systems, like the Mass Effect series. I was pleasantly surprised with how great DA:O's was by comparison, so I don't know that I'll ever feel compelled to employ the default Hawke if DA2 follows the example set by its predecessor.

Nothing you can create in the character creator is comparable in quality to the default faces, so I will always play default Hawke, both male and female. I also always play good characters.

I'm going to play a male warrior. I already have a name picked out, and I'm hoping they have a good ponytail option this time so I can kind of base him off of myself. Also hope they have the facial hair I want to give him...

I'm sure it will go exactly as it has numerous times past: put a lot of thought into a character design up front, including name, story, class, etc. - then completely change my mind upon first booting up the game.



My first character is almost always a surprise, after that I usually stick to my plan.

Where did you hear this?

My first playthrough will be as a male Hawke, still haven't picked the name but I do have some ideas, and I'll see how things go from there. I normally only really 'roleplay' my character on the second playthrough and so on.

Oh, and it will be a mage.

My first will be dual-wielding rogue female. I will almost always use the dedicated sarcastic response with her, and she'll be fiercely protective of her sister. She will be the 'Jerk With A Heart of Gold' type. She will probably be a pale brunette, not sure, I'll play around with her appearance in the CC.

i going to be a male rouge and probaby have the hair that he already got but with different facial hair and gray eyes if u can have that color.

I plan to play default male Hawke but I will spend hours playing with the character creator also because it really sounds like it will be fun. Maybe Ill play 2 characters at the same time.

I don't think so.. I think my Shepards face is WAY better than the original.





All it takes is a little effort and patience. 

Then again mass effect 2's customization was alot better than Dragon Ages..

I'm thinking thin goatee, long cropped hair, and a slightly thin face. Hazel eyes, thin nose mainly make him look better than I'll ever be.

I can't really decide on who or what I'll be untill I start the game, since I'll end up changing it anyways. I'm leaning towards a male mage though. I thought male and female Hawkes had set first names (Garrett and Marian) or is it like John and Jane Shepard where you can change it?

Male Mage.. Pale skin, long black hair, slight facial hair like my Shepard. If its an option, if not then no facial hair..
That's as far as I've gotten.. I really need a downloadable character creator..

I never use default faces.

I just hope there are more than 3 hair options for Black or I suppose I should say Riviani characters.

I still find it funny that despite both of us playing on different systems, in completely different locations, my brother and I's dwarven male Wardens both looked EXACTLY identical, with the exception of eye color.  That's just. . .sad.

I haven't come up with a permenent design for Mathias Hawke as of yet, but I do know for certain he will have a beard.
