Here's the big tipoff w/ Kelly and Liara: if you've been romancing anyone except Kelly, Liara has dialogue about it after you kill Vasir. Kelly? Not a word.

I thought she was only available if there was no one else romanced and you bothered to flirt with her. I hope romancing her carries over to Mass Effect 3.

if you have dinner with her (and next day she offers to feed your fish)...and then you don't romance anyone (which includes NOT taking the "flirting" far enough to have your LI's portrait frame face down on your desk) you can then invite her up for stripping, cuddling, and she sits on your lap.

that said...Bio has said it IS flagged in the save that you "romanced" kelly...what comes of it we don't know.

You mean taking her up to your room for dinner counts as romancing her? I always thought it was just some harmless flirting between two co-workers like in real life.

Is it just me or was she just designed for people who want to keep there relation ship from me1. You can have some romance and it does not affect any relationship Shepard might have with someone.

Not that it might not well work that way, but I'd love to see how that's handled in ME3.

Shep: Hey, Ash, after you said those harsh things on Horizon I rekindled a relationship with Liara, who's now the Shadow Broker. We're sleeping now.

Ash: You damn cheater!

---

Shep: Hey, Ash, after you said those harsh things on Horizon, I found out that Tali's been crushing on me since we met, and that's why she's always been 100% supportive of me regardless of anything. We're sleeping now.

Ash: You damn cheater!

---

Shep: Hey, Ash, after you said those harsh things on Horizon, I noticed That Ass on the Normandy after I helped Miranda confront her confidence issues. I'm tapping that now.

Ash: You damn cheater!

---

Shep: Hey, Ash, after you said those harsh things on Horizon, I helped a emotionally traumatized girl regain the ability to trust and care. I may or may not actually be sleeping with her.

Ash: You damn cheater!

---

Shep: Hey, Ash, after you said those harsh things on Horizon, I actually went on a date with my yeoman, and after the Suicide Mission she put on a stripper outfit and became my yeo-**** on call.

Ash: Teeheehee, Shepard, you stud you!

Dusty Everman has said that romancing Kelly as well as simply inviting her up for dinner IS flagged and WILL carry over to ME3. That's why I never bothered flirting with her on my loyal playthrough's. Didn't want to risk it.

I hope there are no repercussions to having dinner with Kelly. While she is cute, all I wanted was her to feed my damn fish.

The fish are awesome to have, but I hate having to feed them after every mission. So I usually flirt with her until we have dinner, then she offers to feed my fish, and of course I say YES.

Then I continue with the game and never invite her up to the cabin, do LotSB and have my happytimes afterwards.....

I hate how you have to flirt with Kelly in order to get her to feed the fish.

Yeah. It should be:

S: "Hey Kelly, can you feed my fish while I'm out?"

K: "Sure thing!"

S: "Thanks!"

^^ No flirting involved. ^^
I'm the boss-man on this ship, anyway.

Yes, but then it's only a matter of time before she starts leaving little notes and other hints around the room and tries to sabotage your relationship with your real LI. Eventually you will return to your cabin to find Boo boiling in a pot on a stove that you didn't even know you had. Eventually her attraction will prove to be fatal as she tries to kill your LI and have you for herself.

(I need to stop making a habit of turning ME into bad movies from the 80s and 90s)

Like sleeping with Morrigan, I only invite her up to my room to save lives. In this case my fish.

Yeah, exactly the reason why I "romanced" her. It's really repititive have to go to your cabin every so often to feed those damn fish.

I got the impression that Shep shagged her.

After all the dinner is in Shep's bedroom, and who goes on a date to someone's bedroom unless it doesn't also involve sex?

My Shep always 'romances' Kelly, because otherwise she's a lazy do-nothing that has no purpose on the ship. Does Shepard really need a personal assistant to tell him when to check his email, or who to have a conversation with? Seems like a waste of Cerberus resources, so she might as well earn her keep by giving the Commander an old-fashioned once in awhile. Image IPB

I -never- understood the logic of getting cozy with the friendly assistant who flat out TELLS YOU her only job there is to get cozy with everyone and spy on them. Particularly if you mouth off to TMI or tell him to shove it at the end.

Yea that sounds just about right. But I also think of Kelly as Shepard's PA , I need someone to feed my fishes while I'm away on missions.

To OP: Actualy I think it was because they thought a embarasingly bad lap dance scene would sell more games. I hope it didn't help the profits or it may get even worse in ME3...

Considering they didn't use said scene in any of their pre- or post-release marketing, I kinda doubt that.
