Legion/EDI, because I've always been interested in the relationship between humans, intelligence, and tools (intelligence and tool use is what gives us our competitive edge in nature) and the idea of tools becoming intelligent in their own right and our subsequent relationship with them fascinates me. In this sense Legion was sadly underdeveloped and I hope he can get some more screen time in ME3. I had to include EDI because she is of human origin, and while Legion is not, I see both of them as parts of a larger whole.

Hard 2 pick just one. Legion because he gives us some much needed insight into thye Geth. Mordin cause hes just awsome, I thought Salarians were fast in ME1 (Anolais is typing on two computers in his office. That is some serious multi tasking) I liked Grunt, it was a nice differant 2 get 2 know the Krogan youth, instead of a hardened veteran like Wrex. Samara 4 the same reason as Grunt except the other way round (still unsure if shes a Matriach or a Matron) Bioware did a great job at creating indepth squadies. Hopfully they do the same 2 new squad mates in ME3.

Legion no doubt. Loved the subtle comical acts that BW was able to use with him. Also his "personality" was pretty awesome.

3 way tie: I would say Mordin for quirky personality, excellent voice acting, and humor. Legion for the backstory element. And Miranda (who I initially categorized as the obligatory "video game babe") for some surprising character depth.
