So I just beat ME2 expecting to start NG+

Everything seemed fine. I had the casual suit I got from Kasumi when I first woke up, and when I picked up my armor it was the armor I beat the game with.

Cool.

All skills and my level were intact.

Great.

When I got to the first armor change station **** went south.
When opened it I was still in my armor, but there were no slider options for pieces.
The next thing I did was scroll down and check.

ALL OF THE ****ING ARMOR DISAPPEAR RIGHT OFF OF MY CHARACTER.
It returned to the default N7 parts.
I did this three to experimenting with different methods.

The armor and casual stuff only resets when you try to change them.
For example: The first time I looked to see if Kasumi's casual suit was in my inventory.

It disappeared.

The next time I tried I didn't even open the armor thing and when the game started I still had my casual kasumi suit on.

...BUT it's not over yet!

When I went to the armory I didn't have any weapons but the ****ty default ones.
I didn't have my heavy weapons or my class specific weapon I got on the collector ship.

The ****ing cherry on top of all this was I got my first taste of the random bull**** people have been complaining about. During my first run I ran into only one freeze.

Hell had no ****ing fury in NG+

The game slowed down.

It froze.

It did everything but the ****ing Samba. Hell, when my shep first woke up that little hazy drunk effect lasted for five minute. If this was to long and you didn't read it... A good summary is that I'm ****ing pissed.

Am I doing something wrong?
One of these mods or some **** better reply to this thread or I'll post it again every ****ing week.

NO! I don't want any of those **** face canned automated response you jerk offs come up with.

btw

I'm not playing this **** again until I get some answers or they release a patch.

If they haven't fixed this **** in two weak I'm selling this game and never buying anything from Bioware again.

You'll be right up there with Bethesda and Ubisoft.

Are you sure that when you import a character you are supposed to keep all upgrades too? Because I'm not so sure, I think you just keep the level you are currently at.

You don't keep the upgrades, but you're supposed to keep all weapons and armor with your level and skills.

I've never heard or read that anywhere, the only things I've heard that carry over are you experience and skills.

You do keep your heavy weapons and the weapon you chose on the collector ship. Don't listen to users who just signed up and obviously have no clue.

Thanks spez.

I don't have my heavy weapons or my collector ship weapon.

I haven't been using my imported face when I NG+

I've been making a custom one.

Does that have something to do with it?

Yes, you are doing something wrong. You didnt bother reading the forum description
And yes, you are going to get a canned response, because I am going to post the forum description right here.

As far as I know for NG+ for both ME:1 and ME:2 on 360 always let you keep everything but resources (things you mined -ME:1- and things you probed and researched in -ME:2 rae never given back). You should have been able to keep your armor pieces that you purchased as well as weapons you have found Including the collectors ship weapon as well as any Heavy Weapons you had researched already. All in all you might as well chalk this one up as another Glitch that ME:2 for the PS3 has, this and the Save corruption problem is actually what made me decide not to re-purchase on the PS3 as much as I wanted to I'll stay on the 360 and wait for ME:3 on it. I'm sorry but unless it's something that gets patched/fixed you gotta stay with it all you can do dude is hope that they make a fix soon is all I can really say and if said fix does come thru and also fix's the save corruption problem I might actually buy it.

Do you start with all your gear or do you have to wait to get it?

By wait I mean until you recruit someone etc?

you should be able to access your weapons when you do the scouting mission that has you meet Tali for the first time with her squad, right in the beginning area there should be a weapon load out station and as for your armor you can do it right before your first commune with the Illusive man. Thats how I remember it on the 360 anyway.

I just tried it.

No load out screen. It just skipped right to the gameplay and gave me the default weapons like I was playing a NG

Okay, I'm not sure what exactly is the problem but let me try to cover the bases...

If you finished the game and then chose to play through a second time using the exact same character with whom you just beat the game, then you do NOT get to recreate your face, class, background, etc. Instead, you have the same stuff which you made for the last character. You should have access to your armor right before they intro you to TIM. Then, you should be granted all of your heavy/DLC weapons AFTER they introduce you to the Normandy. You will get a resource and credit bonus, too.

If you started with a new character that is NOT from the save game you just completed you can choose a different face, different class, different background, etc. In this case, you will NOT get your guns, armor, etc. You will, however, still get a nice resource and credit bonus.

Do you do the latter by mistake? If so, this isn't a glitch. If you did the former, then I would try to start a new game with your finished character again.

With the PS3 version, very limited. I have PS3, but not ME2 for it, I play on PC. That said, I have had a similar problem once or twice with the PC version doing something similar, only lost my armour and basic weapons, but kept Collector ship and heavy weapons.

When you finished the suicide mission, did you choose to continue, or select import straight away? Ive had more success in choosing continue, land on a planet then return to Normandy. Save, exit to main menu. Give it a few minutes to write the files to disk, then fire up a new game, and import.

I'm normally a keen defender of Bioware titles, but the amount of bugs Ive seen people complain about in this port has me shaking my head in disbelief.

To the best of my knowledge:
ARMOR:  at the terminal before you meet TIM

WEAPONS:  When you access your armory in the Normandy.

When I'm at the title screen I go to new game.

Under newgame I hit import ME2 character.

After that they let me choose from the imported face, the default face, and a custom face.

No matter which I choose--default or custom, I can't access my heavy weapons or widow.

I start the game with my casual gear/armor from the last game but as soon as I go to the armor changing thing there aren't any sliders for my armor pieces and then both of them disappear.

When I get to the Normandy only the default weapons are there.

My shep got the widow of the collector ship but all I see is the mantis.

I got the bonuses when I first woke up.

You sure I thought the first weapon load out station is around the beginning area of the first Human colony TIM sends you to in the first room you enter?

I choose to import straight away...

Is there anything you think I can do?

@earthbornFemShep

When I open the armor thing before tim none of the pieces I bought for my armor were there.

The normandy's armory was completely void of my weapons.
