The other system file, although I doubt that will have any affect on things as it seems that one is more of a cache than anything else.

So there's nothing we can do?

Are you upset about this too?

Less so than you mostly because the weapons I primarily use are the Locust (easy to get) and the Mattock (another DLC weapon) and the primary Armor I choose again, DLC stuff.

It's frustrating, yes, but I viewed this game more as a 3 week fill in until MvC3 came out since I already had played it several times over on the PC.

I can confirm that at least you can re-pick your weapon specialization when you get to the Collector Ship. So, at least it's not some corruption or bug getting baked into the save.

At least... really defeats the point of having the nice extra weapon / spec from the start though. But thanks for the update. Any good news is worth sharing.

So basically NG+ is completely broken with the exception of being Level 30 (assuming you reached it) and having your previous skillset...

The things that work as supposed to:

Your current level, skills, and money do carry over.
You do receive both the starting resource bonus (50000 of everything).
You do gain the 10% XP bonus.

Other than that...

Yes, it's much easier just to start a new game... though even when the NG+ bonuses worked on the 360, it wasn't that great either (especially with the ME1 import bonuses).

You do keep your heavy weapons and the weapon you chose on the collector ship. Don't listen to users who just signed up and obviously have no clue.

Yeah, this thread was made for the ps3 version of the game hence for users who just signed up and don't have a clue about the issues so that they can help each other. I was just trying to help him since I myself didn't keep any weapons or armor after importing my own me2 finished game file.
Why don't you go back to whatever rude elitis know-it-all forum you came from? We don't need jerks like you to help us, save your help.

It's an annoyance. It's not game breaking though (like all the freezing / corrupt save issues). Considering we've already exhausted everything we can do as players, we just have to either a) accept it and wait or B) not play the game.

I'm sure your comments have been duly noted and added to the list of things to work on (as you're not the only one with that issue as has been seen by several other people here, myself included). But all I know is if I were the dev in this position, I would be working on the game breaking issues first.

Yeah, I can tell you for a FACT in a NG+ that when you wake up in the Lazarus Project lab, you'll be wearing whatever your Shep's casual appearance was when you completed the game. After that, when you grab the pistol from the locker, you'll get the armor you were last wearing, along with all the modifications you made to it, color, pattern, ammo packs, etc. Once you complete the Lab section of the game, and make it to Freedom's Progress, you will have all the weapons you had equipped during your previous game, EXCEPT for your heavy weapon. You only have access to the Cain, until you get to the Normandy-2, where you'll be able to switch out your heavy weapon.

I own the game on both the Xbox 360, and PC, and have completed over 20+ playthroughs on both.

Yeah I own it too on the PC as well. That's not the point. The issue is that it's NOT doing that for the PS3 version of the game. This is why the OP made said thread, if rather crudely at that.

@BringerOfChaos

you might wanna try playing the game again. try using other class . I own both the xbox360 and ps3 version. and i dun really care about the ng+. i really don't think ng+ add any things good to the gameplay of the game. i can see why ppl will play ng+ if u can bring forward the Paragon/Renegade point from your pervious playthrough but u can't. so i really recommend u try playing with other class or wait for bioware to patch it. actually u are lucky since u are able to complete the game with no corrupted save file issue. most of the ps3 player playing the game can't even complete the game.

Well, just listing what was actually supposed to happen, just in case people don't have a clear idea of what the OP is talkign about.
