Alistaire and his crew are kicking my butt. I even tried cheating by putting it on easy. Even when I manage to keep my guys alive the Arch Demon dies because I don't beat them in time.

What's the trick?

recruit a shriek. they're ridiculously powerfully. use the ogre to ram spam morrigan.

Alistair doesnt do so much dmg he is just the tank, it's a waste of time taking him down first while Morrigan and Leliana kills everyone around.
Morrigan has to go first, she do the most damage.(Magic resistance is weaker than Physical resistance)
Then you kill Leliana, ignore dog since he just want to take your attention.
Kill Dog. At this time your Darkspawn should have nearly wiped out Alistairs troops.
Kill Alistair, then you are done.

As mentioned before by others: Ogre and Shriek is very effective.

Why don't you use some of your necromancy to clinch victory?

That last battle isn't that hard. Focus your attacks on taking out Leliana first, then Morrigan. Both go down quickly but do a lot of damage to the Archdemon. If Alistair goes after your guys, you need to basically pin him down with a Shriek or an Ogre for a minute while you continue to take out his followers. Don't worry about killing him until last, and ignore the werewolves unless they're targetting one of your more vulnerable darkspawn.

So yeah I will have to get me a Shriek to try to win this battle.
