that applies to both male and females who fallen for the turian. Whether is romantically froma  female, or brotherly from a male. He sure is an awesome character.

Ahh, the trolls who claim that their opinions supercede all others...

We have dismissed these claims.

And to bring this thread on topic so it doesn't become like the female turians thread (same trolls and that.)

It's all in the eye of the beholder. So exoskeletons and their noses may take a while to warm up to, but they aint bad.

They are better than Vorcha, Volus and Elcor after all?

volus re cute.

Saw a picture of a daddy with his daughter volus holding a teddy bear or something. That was damn cute I admit.

Elcor's....honestly they just seem to me walking statues.

Just because someone disagrees with you does not make them a troll.

Food for thought.

Mmmm...I love the smell of trolls in the...afternoon? Close enough. *shrug*

Keeping to the actual topic...

Why do I/others find turians attractive? Deep voices (with that subtle reverberation...gotta love the turian flange), broad shoulders, trim and fit physique, lovely eyes, expressive faces (and many have "kitty" faces for that cute factor), good angles to their faces, tall...

They come from a military culture that puts a lot of weight on "good of the many over the one," honor, honesty, decisiveness, warrior prowess, being capable, that sort of thing.

Basically, they hit a lot of desirable, masculine traits in spite of being overtly alien. And although they are alien, they are well-designed aliens. One can appreciate physical "beauty" and attractiveness beyond that which is human. Those who can overcome the "they're aliens" part are a step closer to seeing the interwoven, desirable human-masculine traits injected into their design and thus can appreciate, on different levels, various turians.

There are many female players who has stated that they find Garrus and/or other Turians to be somewhat or very attractive.

You really don't know?  Well...the dirty little secret is that the Turians are more endowed than the rest of the Council species.  They got it goin on.  You can't touch that.  They know how to lay some pipe baby! :o

Eradyn pretty much said everything I was going to add...

But the biggest thing... is that it's different for everyone.  Most of the time, you grow to like the outside once you've found something desirable that's inside.

But Eradyn summed it up, I'm a little shallow (aren't we all) but Garrus was there to back Shepard up.

Everything she said with emphasis on the bold. I love strong, dominant, manly men. And as Turians seem to epitomize masculinity, I can't help but love them .

He's there for you, through thick and thin.

If you don't understand that, then I can't help you. You've fundamentally missed the point about having a relationship with someone.

Again, his voice is also quite attractive.  He's my favorite romance simply because you have to wait until the second game.  Their relationship is built on a foundation of trust and saving the world.  To me, that equals badass.

So it's a trust and stability thing, reaching across species?

I don't know about other Turians but Garrus is made of awesome. not only is his voice like chocolate covered velvet (ok, maybe not the greatest metaphor, but its sexy, just bear with me), he's a great character. he's funny, loyal, dependable, caring and has a lot more depth to him then he allows to show at first. He is a badass with a heart of gold, something that a lot of women find to be attractive, a bad boy without being a ****

I probably wouldn't have done the in-depth study of turians that I've done without being so enamored of Garrus first. He got me to take a closer look at a very cool, well-designed alien species.

I have yet to see a human male in Mass Effect that I consider ~hot~, I don't think Jacob and Kaidan are ugly but neither do they make me want to stare at them for ages and I'm not into beefy guys, shirtless Jacob may as well keep his shirt on.
Garrus at least look really interesting even though he's not remotely human(dem hips, dose eyes) but until the designers learn how to create hot, slender guys the humans will have to rely on their personalities to appeal to me.

and @ Heather:  Antagonistic people take note, *that* is how you voice an opinion.  Dissenting yet polite and non-inflammatory. :)

I don't find every Turian attractive. Mostly it's just Garrus. It's a case of "the inside matters more than the outside" for me. Dude always has Shep's back and she can trust him implicitly. He also has a great sense of humor and has a cute awkwardness to him.

But for the sake of listing purely physical attributes that I find attractive: he has wicked eyes and a sexy voice. For some strange reason I think "awesome space kitten-man" instead of "giant bird/dinosaur-man" when I look at his face. Hahaha.

Laughing heartily:  That is great. Hadn't seen that one before.  Reminds me of Eeyore.

For me, Garrus isn't my fave but in general it tends to be the personality for me that wins me over, the looks only get my attention.
