Good day to you, fellow wardens and commanders. (And masters and jedis, just in case)
As the new BioWare Store has kicked in, a certain lot of us had problems with buying BioWare points. Namely, the system used to reject three or four digit the validation code on the card. I've encountered this issue, mostly in Europe, in some cases in the USA.
I, for one, won't get a new credit card just to pay for DLCs.
As long as a problem is not visible, while it only affects a dozen people, it's no big deal, the company won't likely sacrifice resources to solve it.

So that's the plan, gather some signs, to make it visible.
Of course the official forums is not a perfect representation, as the majority of the people having problem simply won't find their way here, let alone this very topic, but let's see if signatures begin gathering.

I gave up on the idea of buying Lair of the Shadow Broker and Overlord because I saw so many folks were having problems with Bioware points no matter what method of payment they used...

So, two DLC sales lost...not much but they add up when it's a lot of us.

I bought 1600pts in the early hours of this morning (ie before i'd gone to bed, but still within the last 24hr period) and all the transactions and the dlc buying went through perfectly. Tried to purchase another 800 to get LotSB and the funds have been taken from my account but i don't have the pts to show for it.

Seems to have two alternate solutions by the way.

One: Some stores are offering BioWare points in the form of redeemable codes, such as Galaxisnet in Hungary.

Two: http://common.ea-europe.com/eastore/ is offering BW points in 800 and 1600 pack although the process takes time (credits to Iphrit).

Still, I'd rather have the common BioWare store fixed, these are just workarounds if you need the points immidiately.

Every time I bring up the issue on support.ea.com, I get the standard answer "Try another card, try it later, etc." in a polite manner, but it doesn't help much.

The promised contact by the financial department have not happened yet. (They've said they were to contact me in 24 hours, it was about a week ago).

Same thing here. Says CSC code invalid on a Mastercard even though it is perfectly valid. Paypal gives a non descriptive error message too, simply saying an error has occurred and I have to try later.

Yeah, I have the same problem, it says my CSC number is invalid. It's a 3 digit code, not that hard to input. I sent ea customer support a message as they had been helpful in regards to a DLC problem before. This was the reply

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

If the charge is not going through, then please check the following points:

1. All credit card information is listed exactly as it appears on the credit card.

2.The credit card expiration date has not passed. (The card is still valid.)

3.The address listed matches what the credit card company has on file. (This is where you receive bills.)

If you have confirmed that all the information is accurately listed on the account then you will need to contact your credit card company regarding the issue. They could have a block for use on certain web sites, or they may have a hold on your account for some reason. You can also try and use another credit card or any other payment option available to make the purchase. We apologize for any disappointment this may have caused to you.

I request you to please clear your browser cache and to do this please follow the given link below:

Electronic Arts.

And the card works fine on steam and other places.

This is quite silly on the part of EA and Bioware. After all, we're customers having trouble giving them money and they don't seem to put that much effort in helping us fix this.

I just tried to buy some ME2 dlcs with my debit card and I got the same error ("Card CSC is invalid."). This is really pissing me off, specially because I don't enjoy buying DLCs. I was thinking in buying the points on EA Store, but for some reason, the prices there are more expensive (at least on my country).

I tried to used the live chat support but they couldn't help me. I even asked the person who was talking with me to enable paypal on my account, but she answered that she couldn't do it. Given her suggestion, I tried to do the entire procedure on a different browser and still got the same error. This is so ****ing retarded.

EDIT:
I spent the last 4 hours trying to buy the DLCs and couldn't do it. Why the paypal method isn't available for my country on BioWare store? My last option available is to buy the DLCs directly from the EA Store, but I'm not willing to do it as they are charging MORE for the SAME PRODUCT, at least here.

Here is a screenshot: i56.tinypic.com/2viqj9e.png

I seriously don't know what to do anymore. I hate this DLC mania, but I was willing to buy the DLCs for Mass Effect 2 because I felt in love with the franchise. I hate being treated unfairly.

-------------------------------
EDIT: My problem wasn't fixed, but I managed to buy the DLCs directly from EA Store. The EA store is more expensive in my country, but I got a promotional coupon from EA as a birthday gift and decided to use it.

I first thought that problem was specifically mine, and due to my special circonstances (French mastercard, from china, and using a "virtual card"), even though they are not a problem with Steam, but i see i'm not alone.

I had no problem of buying Bioware Points and downloading ME2 dlcs until today. I wanted to buy "Alternate Appearance Pack 2" for ME2, but I couldn't buy any points.

Tried paypal but didn't work, always showing me this warning: "An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later." and not directing me to paypal.

Then I tried to pay with my credit card. But this time the system doesn't accept my card and saying me that my csc number is wrong (it's definitely NOT). I tried two cards, no success.

At last I wanted to solve the problem with live chat tech support. And guess what... The system says my log in password is wrong and not allowing me to enter live chat. It's the same password I used to enter the Bioware Points Page only seconds ago!!!

This is really an annoying problem and lots of people are waiting for a solution. I am a big fan of Bioware and especially ME games, but if this problem continues and they don't make a reasonable explanation I am not buying any more dlcs.

@crusadex I had the same experience as yours. No statement from Bioware so far!
