I quite like that each companion in DA2 has a more unique appearance then the ones in DA:O, in a similar fashion to Morrigan’s clothes, as I think it gives them a bit more of a visual personality. But I’ve been looking around the forum and I haven’t seen much information on how companions’ armor will evolve over time, other then confirmation that it will, so I am wondering if anyone would be so kind as to shed some light on this?
Is it, for example, tied to where you are in the story? So during say the second year (of the roughly 10 years the game is said to span) companions have access to certain armor and then gains access to a better one the following year? Or is it more tied to say, their personal quests, so if I choose to help either one of them out with something then as a reward I might gain access to better armor for that companion?
I’m also curious as to how much control we’ll have over each companions armor, how much we can customize what they wear. Can we for example choose between one outfit that’s heavier on the willpower and one with more magic for a mage companion, or is there a more linear evolution to their armor, and thus perhaps a greater focus on unique accessories and weapons?
