I have the steam version of NWN2 with all the patches and expansions. I've finished all 3 of the official expansions as well as Mysteries of Westgate. Now I want to start playing some of the community made modules. My question is there a difference between adventures that only require MotB and ones that require SoZ? In other words am I going to be able to play older MotB mods without any issues? I was just looking through the handy mod list trying to figure what adventure I should play first. It lists moduls for SoZ and then MotB. Just curious. Thanks
Question about MotB and SoZ based modules

I don't know much about compatibility, but usually you should be able to play modules that requires one or no expansions. I've never had any related problem, at least.
The problem comes if you try to do the opposite, i.e. play a MotB/SoZ module without expansions.

You should be fine. The only exception I am aware of is that some older mods may act a little weird in terms of changes in the AI. For example, some older mods will have opponents notice you from farther away than intended in the mod, possibly causing some unintended tough fights. I have only run into this a few times though and it can actually make for a more fun adventure.

As long as you have the minimum requirements, you should be okay, however there are times when an older module (that has yet to be updated) might play funky with SoZ installed. I wouldn't worry over it too much. You should be pretty much alrighty a-okay good to go.
