Please forgive me of my rage, but i can barely contain my anger right now as i, ignorant until now, have just discovered something extremely upsetting for me and all fellow Australian Dragon Age fans.

Why does Australia get Dragon Age 2 sixteen days after the rest of the world?!?!?!

WHY?!

Please tell me this here is wrong:(.

If Dead Space 2, an EA game, can release in Australia a day and a half after NA, before Europe even, then why can't DA2?

I'm sure it has a reasonable excuse, i just ask what it is.

Yikes, maybe...because it's so far? I'd love to tell you "this here is wrong" but there is no indication that it's wrong so unfortunately I for one can't tell you this here is wrong...sorry.

[EDIT]
There is one solution - come to England or go to the US to pick up your copy early...DOH! You probably pre-ordered so that's not even going to work! Sounds like you're in a tight spot!

Wow, 24th does seem to be the release date, I checked on gamespot:

http://au.gamespot.c...=result;title;0

Although, if u are really keen to get it on the US date, maybe the EA store online download thingy will release on that date? hard to know for sure, but either way, that sucks bigtime >

Edit: older news articles refer to a release date of the 10th of march, so it seems to have been pushed back...
not the first time us aussies get royally screwed on the gaming front :P

You'd think a game with so many Hawkes in it would travel across the ocean much faster.

...

I assumed it was March 11th, same as Europe, but i went on GameFAQs to check because i realised i had never actualy seen the Aussie release day....and....i saw this.

Dev please say its wrong, i cant bear the thought of reading all the feedback on this site for sixteen days, stewing with jeolosy.

Bioware/EA hates Australians. It's the only possible explanation.

Are you able to get the signature edition and the bonuses? I have no doubt that the extra wait will be extremely painful, though if you get the bonuses, at least you aren't missing out on that. Just play Origins again or something while you wait.

Chances are that during the delay, you'll see people coming here in droves complaining about bugs and demanding a patch or they'll burn the Bioware HQ down.  In that case, you probably would want to wait for a patch anyway.

Well maybe its because of your country's stupid laws dealing with violent and bloody games.

If this is true, I feel sorry for you.

I thought it was bad enough as a Brit having to wait 3 days longer than the US (and to avoid BSN for that time). :?

Ok kids, let's play nice with the Ozzies, they didn't do anything wrong. They're just as excited about DA2 as the rest of us and news like this is understandably upsetting.

I don't think so, i assume Dead Space 2 will have five times the amount of violence and gore than Dragon Age 2, and its not being held up. That doesn't affect release dates anyway. I agree that our country has a stupid classification system.

Seriously, no need to attack anyone just because they want to play the game as soon as possible.

Last I heard, it was being released on March 11th. I hope it hasn't been pushed back for some reason!

My comment was not intended to be an attack on the country but its political dealings with video games. Since Dead Space 2 hasn't been held up, then maybe its just like everyone says its an error plus gamefaqs.com is not exactly a reliable source of info.

if you are playing on pc I'd suggest getting the game through steam or other digital download stores. I bet they'll have it on time.

Actually, only one person is responsible for our terrible rating system, some Member of Parliament
(bassicaly a senator, except Australian) in South Australia State is a
real activist against videogames, and he's apart of the rating board, and
he holds up as many violent games as he can. And Australia can't do
anything about it. Most people (everyone) do not like what he does.

Steam are very strict when it comes to release dates. If the game is indeed delayed then they'll delay it too.
