^ Yeah, no probs.

It would have been a problem if it hadn't passed MA15+.

Well, hello to you.

What is the release date in Russia? Bulgaria?

There is a Russian version, right?

Part of me knows they aren't doing that and shouldn't do that but a bigger part of me hopes this is true hehe, I'm impatient to play DA 2, we got to play Mass Effect before everyone else too (no idea why the retailers did that.)

This post only makes sense if you aren't Aussie. There have been a few big budget releases in the past few years that Aussies have actually got to play before the US by a day or two. Most are after, unfortunately.

Lol I made a mistake and thought the topic was saying we get the game earlier or something...silly me.

This is terrible.

btw, I just noticed that this information was provided by some registered user of the Gamespot forums - so it's not exactly an official release date...:police:

Yes sorry I have fixed the link. Basically it was supposed to go to the original link you posted - more importantly though, if you look a bit down the page you will see :

Information and/or credits for this game contributed by Blk_Mage_Ctype.

Therefore, it appears that all of this panic is probably for nothing.

Looks like if i pre-order from the UK for half the price, i'll be getting it about the same time if not before local retailers are able to sell it. kewl.

I'd blame the country's ridiculous laws regarding video games and regulation thereof.

Reported, and I do hope you get banned Dayshadow.

Also, back on track, I don't see how the regulatory boards have ANYTHING to do with the release date of a game. Aside from the remote chance of some content being found objectionable at the last minute and the developer being forced to resubmit content (which is obviously unlikely)

We have confirmed that there is NO release date change for Dragon Age 2 in Australia.  :)

It might have been some retailer confusion between DA2 and ME2 on teh PS3 (which does release in Australia in Jan 24), but there is no change to the release date for DA2, it is still on schedule.

So cheer up and stay dry if you can Aussies. Thinking good thoughts for those of you, like my aunt and cousins in Brisbane, who were hurt by the flooding.

*Alert*Alert* PC Brigade in attendance. Do not make jokes. You must remain serious and overly polite at all times.

Grow up mate seriously. The guy was clearly cracking a joke about a historical fact in correlation to the topic.

And you are clearly wrong about regulatory boards denying content and forcing developers to resubmit - it happens all the time. The Desire Demon, and the Lady of the forest were originally supposed to have nipples on display and the ESRB went "oh no! sex and bewbage! Not Allowed! Deny!"
The BBFC went "that'll be an 18 then..."

Sake.

No I would've taken it as a joke if he left it at prison colony. The fact that he went on seemed to me that he wasn't joking. And since tone carries over the internet marvelously, I was left to interpret the post as good natured banter then wasn't I?

I would apologise if he was joking, but it was late and I wasn't happy, and seeing that didn't help any. But mind you, I just came to the thread and read that response, seemed out of place and unnecessary.

And ScotGaymer, what are you talking about? I never said they deny content and force resubmissions, I did say that they are unlikely to be the cause of release date changes. Read up mate.
