I've read through a lot of these threads and also experienced these bugs, so all the feedback from the PS3 users should be enough to incite at least an announcement that a patch is coming.

If you are a PS3 player, and you're having any problems, I didn't list, with Mass Effect 2 then go ahead and address them in this thread

CONFIRMED BUGS:
Visual/Audio sync - audio will generally be off by 1-3 seconds during most cutscenes.

Corrupted saves- most users report problems concerning the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC mission

NG+ (New Game Plus) - there's a problem with importing your Shepard for a second playthrough, skills/levels/weapons are supposed to be retained, but I lost my weapons

Freezing

They aren't gonna fix them because they don't give a ****.

When was the last time one of them posted on this forum?

So much for that definitive version.

I have to admit, after waiting so much longer to buy the game on PS3, and after having to walk past the 360 version of the game in the store (for half the price), only to have 35hours of gameplay down the pan, I am not a happy bunny.

I didn't think it'd be likely a game would ****** me off more than Treyarch and BOps has, but this is beyond even their failures.

All saves in 1 file? Anyone who contributed to that doesn't deserve their job.

I have only had the problem of the audio/visual being off by a little, also had it freeze my ps3 once. I have also noticed screen tearing much more then in my 360 version of the game. Please bioware i spent 120$ on this game alone to support you not including all my other purchases, Please just put out a patch and if you're working on it at least tell us so we don't have to worry as much.

I hope we don't have to wait weeks for a fix.. Because this is just ridiculous, the game is almost unplayable of many. This is the first game I've experienced this much trouble with, and I haven't even had a chance of playing it because of freezing, unresponsive loading screens and corrupted data.

Mass Effect 2 has been out for a year now on PC and that's also how long we've been complaining about the lack of menu shortcuts, something that was in ME1 and should have been in ME2 from the start. You can expect one of two patches and then BioWare will move on. For ME1 they once released a patch and said in the patch notes they fixed Garrus' blurry face texture. Turns out they didn't fix it and that patching this would be nearly impossible. Why did the patch notes mention a fix that wasn't there and they didn't even intend to fix? No one knows.

From my experiences on PC, I can guess the audio sync problem is caused by low framerates. Mass Effect 2 needs a constant 30 frames per seconds and in cinematics it sometimes drops to 20. I believe this was on Xbox 360 as well, but I've played neither console version. I did see some online playthroughs and noticed that on the 360 some cinematics have sync problems. The "Normandy Reborn" music doesn't always perfectly sync up with the footage because of framedrops in the last scene. If low framerate are indeed the cause, I doubt a patch is gonna fix it.

they probably wont announce a patch until they pin down how all these bugs are happening.......once they pin down the root cause of each of them they can start working on a patch and then tell us its on the way

yeh when i'm done with a game....twice.....copying save files on to backup every 3 hours is NOT fun. QA testers need a big salary cut!

Haha yeah.. or we should at least be compensated for our own testing... :)

Let's hope they are going to make a patch soon, because we bought this game to play it not to sit on the shelfs... If it was some 3th world under payed, stupid game like MKvsDC and many others for example, i wouldn't care at all... But we are talking about one of the best games ever created, on my oppinion.

So lets hope that they will fix it soon, because nowadays the consumer is a great power especially with the internet, we can rise and destroy corporations... :))

I'm sure they are trying to get to the root causes of all these bugs. the game came out a week ago and patch work takes time. I bet that once they have a patch in the works that they will let us know if its going through the certification process
