Yep, you can take Sniper Rifle as your weapon specialization after the Collecter ship. I'd grown to love sniping in ME1 (I'd unlocked it on a soldier playthrough), and was seen to do a very embarassing happy dance when I unlocked it for ME2. hmm i don't remember unlocking a new weapon on my vanguard..... is that PC only or have i just forgotten it?
damn i wish i had of known that before I started insanity with an infiltrator......i would of just picked sentinel then

I always played with Soldier and I still like it, but after playing as a Vanguard, I can just Charge, then Charge again, it's kinda addictive.

hmm any changes to classes for ME3, if it was up to me, DuelWeapons for the Soldier, Double pistols, or double shotgun. That would make my day.

All the half half classes, which oddly enough are more specialized than the pures. However, Infiltrator wins very very close to Vanguard, mainly because it has controllable offensive maneuverability (cloak vs charge), and better yet, can work at close and long range. Charge is awesome, but cloak is far more adaptable.
