Since each time I have a bug, a strange thing in game, or simply I am too blind to see the solution of a puzzle, I open a new thread asking for help, I've just decided to open a single thread where I would put all my silly troubles, just to avoid filling the forum with stupid-question-please-help topic.

So, the stupid question of today is... about the construct! I'm in chapter 3, I know that I need 3 things to make it working (a book, some golem-pieces and the ink to write). I missed the "ink" (that can be found here http://www.gamebansh...tonecaverns.php ) simply because Grobnar didn't collect the water. I don't know why, of course I suspect a bug. I decided to come back there in chapter 3 to see if in this chapter the "collection" worked but... surprise! That location is no longer available.
The question is: how can I find a way to make the construct usable? Maybe someone knows the console code to create the "ink"... Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase! :innocent:

SOLVED PROBLEMS TILL NOW (in case someone should be in search for help)
1) how to finish the construct quest if you had not the glow pond vial
2) how to reset Deekin's store if you are unable to get the option to buy from him at CK
3) how to solve the Light of Heaven bug (you met her in Port Llast before than meeting her in NW and the quest stops)

here are the commands (you know the drill, i Trust)

rs ga_give_item("glowpondvial", 1, 0)
rs ga_global_int("22_bFoundVial", "=1")
rs 22a_advance_construct_quest()


And, here's something you might not know yet. Our dear Obsidian never fixed a series of Construct-upgrades (after it's been activated). You should be able to use some Craft skills to make the construct better, but the Construct conversation grants the wrong Feats - to fix this, make sure you put the following file in your MyDocs->Override *before* talking to mr. C.

I wondered so many times how you, guys, were always able to find whatever code, but now I finally discovered it! :-D Thank you very much. This evening I'm going to try it. So I have to give to my character the glowpondvial, I suppose. What should I do with the other 2 codes?

you are the one entering the codes ..


the second command is a variable that tells the game you've found the Vial (not sure what it's for, the game probably just wants to check to see if you've found it when talking to Grobnar, for instance)

the third command is for your Journal

and don't forget to install the Dialog file from the link above (ASAP) - i had to fix mr. C manually on my play-through, but I trust player1's material too. If you don't have the dialog in place, Sand gets too persnickety, and Construct gets silly feats like elemental resistances instead of Attack and AC bonuses ..


( now back to tinkering with targetting circles )

Ok, finally, after a destructive week at work, I had time to try your suggestions. I have to confirm that you, guys, are really good in helping me ^^ Thank you, it worked! So, stay tuned for my next stupid question!

New problem... well, 3 problems.

1) as shown here http://www.gamebansh...er-actthree.php I am unable to find Light of Heavens. I've already met her in Port Llast and now I should find her in NW, but she's not there. I've found her sister Joy and made her come at the Keep, but LoH is not where she's supposed to be. Any idea?

2) I've finished the Highcliff quest with lizardmen. They said they had joined my militia and moved to the Keep (also Highcliff citizen should had come) but not only I can see any of them, but also when I speak to Sir Nevalle there's only the options about Wendersnaven, so I can't tell him I've found new help.

3) Deekin is safely selling his items in my Keep. I went there twice or 3 times without problems. Now, I've just tried to buy something and... in the dialogue there isn't any option to see the items. I can ask him about SoU or HotU and also about he starting again the life of an adventurer, but no option for merchant. Any idea?



So, I knew opening a personal thread for silly problems was a great idea :-D

Oh, I knew you were ready to answer! To say the truth, I keep posting problems because I know you like to be trained for the Olympic Games of Videogame-Help :-P

1) how can I fixed the LoH miss?

2) I've met them in the basement, but Sir Nevalle still doesn't give me a dialogue options to tell him we have some allies... Is it normal?

3) I haven't understand your answer :-( so, it's not possible to buy things from him?

Uff, the Keep is almost impossible to rule!

truth is, I learn something new with every problem i help fix .. so far.

i think this is normal - more 'incomplete' dialog due to the rushed release long ago

Uff, the Keep is almost impossible to rule!

I'm going to learn ancient Greek, just so everyone understands my jokes. Deekin is a poet, Deekin is also a kobold .. nvm!

rs ga_local_int("store_upgrade", "0", "21_deekin")

You can upgrade Deekin's store to "1" and then "2" - I'm not sure where this happens in the game, so if you want to play around with it *know* you should be able to downgrade his store as well.

ps. i haven't tested those .. in fact, I'm skipping over a whackload of conditionals that register how far things are progressing at the Keep (hoping the game itself rewrites those, and brings Deekin's conversation back online as it should be)

Darling, please, don't want to sound rude, but since English is not my language, I have a lot of difficulties in understanding jokes or just a "joking" tone while speaking... :-( I didn't mean to say you aren't funny, just that it's difficult for me to understand the tone of a sentence. Sorry...



I've just come here after a long and strange game session. After the Circle of the Mere, the game kept crashing while loading CK. So I went first to NW (and then to CK) and even if the game had no crashed, NPCs were behaving like in a battle. I solved with a dirty trick! I used the DB register to "delete" all the NPCs and then summon them back again. That helped, so now the game works as it should.

This just to say that I have to wait tomorrow for following your suggestion (I have to wake up for job in 7 hours). For now, thank you very much, you are always so kind! (even if I don't understand your jokes)

Just back from a short game-session. Your code for Deekin is correct. When he is in NW, he has a first selection of item to sell, then, when he moves to CK, he changes his inventory, so this is the explanation for those 2 codes. However, once he's at the Keep, you can't have his inventory back to the first version, so those codes works only after entering the second one :-) Thank you!



And for once, I found myself the solution to one of my problem. I discovered how to solve the LoH bug. I read around this:



http://thieves-guild...hread.php?t=337 here the description of my bug (in a better English) "you fight with her and after winning the fight she just says : "I have nothing to say" and your party doesn´t return and , of course, you can´t fight her anymore (so that recruiting gets stucked)"

The solution, they said, is "exit the game and go to your saved games folder and open the globals.xml with the notepad and find the line:

<Integer>

<Name>bRejectedLight</Name>

Probably it will be <Value>1</Value> when the value should be 0 since you haven't rejected her."

the problem with this solution is that you have to re-start your game since your encounter in Port Llast (if you meet her the first time in NW, this bug doesn't happen). Well, I tried to do the same things with a far-after save file. I modified the variable value, then go to Port Llast where she had reappeared, I spoke again with her, and then the game worked perfectly. I was able to find her again in NW and the in CK. And now I have another sergeant!

Oh, bad news. Just exited the game again and... Deekin's problem is back. No way to have the buy/sell interaction with him, also after entering the codes again :-(

i kinda thought this might be tricky .. will Deekin talk? What sort of dialog does he end at, is it "Deekin owe you much gratitude, would be willing to trade, and buy, and sell, and sing for Captain of Keep - if Captain wishes it."

(The next line should be "Let me see your wares.") You can try,

or did you try that already .. note, that is an Act III 'condition' - what Act you in, btw?
