Is the Arlathvhen always held in the same destination and time? If the clans are very separate, I imagine it could make it rather difficult to organise such an event once a decade...
When talking to the Dalish messenger in DA:O, he tells you that it is at a pre-arranged spot, and that they pick a new spot for the following decade.

The Dragon Age 2 Qunari always remind me of Tieflings, must be the horns.

Well, enlightenment DOES lay within the Qun.
Imagine trying to convince Hawke's companions to embrace the Qunari:
Sebastion was a chantry priest in training and Aveline was married to a templar so naturally they're probably loyal to the Chant of Light. I don't think Varric cares one way or the other about religion but converting? Not so much. Merril is a Dalish and they weren't fond of the Chantry so the Qun isn't going appeal to her. Fenris is a former slave so placing himself under new masters(then again I think Kirkwall's history mentions elves who were treated as equals by the Qunari rebelling against humans who retook it so who knows). Bethany and/or Carver would be hard to say.
And imagine Isabella being assessed and told that she's priestess material and if there is a Qunari vow of chastity......
Anyway, I agree with the general concensis that the Qunari Mage looks badass. No wonder they're afraid of magic.

With good persuade skills anything is possible!

I really, really, really look forward to this game but dang it bothers me to not be a Dalish. I love the Dalish. They remind me so much of my own people (Native America, not Roma or Irish). And I love that. I hope in DA:3 Return to the Origin we get to be a Dalish Keeper. Or Dalish Werewolf. Also I would love it if they were so darn short! I'm six foot and three inches tall... I like being tall... you can get stuff from the high cupboards... dust the photos... it's great. I want my Dalish to be tall like me.
