Interesting stuff about the Qunari. I dig the concept art. So they cut off the mages' horns?

EDIT - Oho, check this out and then the symbol scratched on the wall in this. That house could well be a mere Alienage slum, but the fact that the symbol is scratched over the Kirkwall heraldry makes me think of an elven uprising of some sort. They aren't the exact same symbol, but how dull would these boards be without speculation?

I'm not sure, but the qunari with the horns cut could be a Tal-Vashot. He doesn't have the mark on the chest, while the other three have it.

Those pieces of lore were really awesome. But more awesome (for me) was the Qunari lineup at the bottom of the entry. I particularly love what I assume is the mage design - with the sawed-off horns and the sewn-up mouth and those pitiable eyes.

EDIT: Also, I get what they mean about elven noses. You can see it particularly strongly with the female elf concept. Kinda reminds me of the Na'vi from Avatar

Wow, they edited the human female, but they left her broken leg, and made her head look worse.

I don't think her head looks worse, but her leg is indeed... disquieting.

I think he's a mage. If you look he has his mouth sewn shut and his body is covered in scars from lashes.

Aw, poor Qunari mage. They cut off his horns and stapled his mouth shut.

Also, all the chain attachment points on his shoulder/neck harness and wrist cuffs.

Cool dwarf and qunari infos.

So they did.
Still haven't fixed the female qunari though.
Hope they do that before they actually put them in a Dragon Age game.

So how does he stay alive if his mouth is sewn/ stapled shut..?

I thought it was some sort of mask.

He probably drinks liquified food through a straw-like implement which is inserted between the stitches.

And the mages of the circle complain about their lot in life.  :P

I suspect the qunari feed their mages little more than water (through a straw). That, or the concept art is a smidge over the top. It has been known to happen.
This reminds me, do we know if qunari mages are taught how to speak properly? Regardless of the mask.

You're right. I don't know howewer if every mage qunari will have their horns cut. In some screenshots we saw some qunari in leashes, with the horns. I think they're also mages. Don't know why they have to cut the horns of some mage qunari.
